  1. My sports app is being odd, they're up 4-1 aren't they? Dunno, I believe in Edmonton's ability to grab defeat from the jaws of victory
  2. Kings up 2-0 on an Edler goal Weird to think he'll probably be going back the playoffs without us
  3. Blues in six, but my pick has nothing to do with the Wild beating us. They're one of two teams with seven 20 goal scorers, the other team being Colorado. If Thomas scores another they'll have eight. Edit: Thomas got another one, St. Louis has eight 20 goal scorers.
  4. Eh, we could probably get a 3rd for Myers imo. Maybe less, but I don't think it'd cost us much if it did cost us. Finding D would be something I'd be exploring via trade, via trading Miller/Boeser. But yes, dipping into the UFA is always tough because the in demand guys almost always get overpaid.
  5. Maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't say he's as a bad as some would, I think him and OEL have been solid for much of the season, I don't think the cost of moving him would necessarily have to be absurd. Any way you spin it, he's a 32 year old RD with a couple seasons left, he might be overpaid but he could still have value to a team that has a harder time luring in D. He's got his warts, but maybe another team thinks he could contribute. Nobody's saying finding the two top 4RD we'll need to find will be easy, but moving him frees up potentially 6M in cap space if we don't retain and for a team with little cap flex that's no small thing.
  6. I think don't think Schenn will be a long term piece, I view him as a placeholder. Not sure about Garland either, though he's on a good contract. I wouldn't re-sign him, I'd be looking to bring in someone younger. We need to get younger on D.
  7. Myers will be 34 when his deal is up, and 35 before the following season is over, he's a piece we'll probably need to replace sooner than later anyway. I'm not saying he'll fall off entirely, but I question how much longer he can play as a top 4 guy. Moving him might be a step back in the short term, maybe, but it's a move we likely make sooner than later anyway. That being said, I wouldn't say he singlehandedly cost us the season. There were numerous factors that led to us coming up short.
  8. If he'd held onto Loui and co we'd have a whack of cap opening up soon too
  9. I'm still hoping this team sees some significant surgery, that defense needs a lotttt of work
  10. They played hard and gave it their best but the hole was just too big Injuries, Demko running out of steam, and no luck from the out of town scoreboard contributed too Just finish the season without anyone else getting hurt so most of the guys can get a healthy offseason of training in
  11. Demko hasn't been good tonight but he's been our MVP all season imo Without him giving us Vezina caliber goaltending up til this point we wouldn't have even been in it
