  1. I hear what you're saying, and while I like those guys I'm not losing sleep over them being gone. Here's to hoping all the old leaves that blew away will be making space for more spritely individuals one day soon.
  2. Hold on, that's not live post game though. Are you saying that last night we could have logged in to Canucks.com and caught everything live as it happened like the good old days? And tomorrow after the Boston game we can shoot right there to see everything live as it happens without all the clips? Asking cause I haven't seen live post game for a while now, but I've been a bit out of the loop for a few years.
  3. @-Vintage Canuck- @-DLC- I read through the first 30 ish pages last night and noticed a few people asking where to find post game in a format other than re-hashed Twitter clips but there was no response. Is there really no live version available for people to watch? Have not caught up on the last 20 pages so apologies if this has already been addressed.
  4. Eh, it's still.possible, just gotta use speed or passing to open them up. Gear helps for sure, but give goalie mechanics credit as well for how hard they work to cut those angles down vs the old school efforts that resembled traffic cones with a hockey mask.
  5. Playing one's heart out does not negate an infraction. I despise our record this year but stupid penalties killed us tonight and it wasn't the refs fault.
  6. I love Motte, but this isn't complicated. The crosschecking rules changed this year and there can be no argument that he got his stick up on someone's back into the boards. Should it have been called aleady a man down? Maybe not. Is it a penalty this year? Yep. People gotta chill on the persecution complex and see things from the rulebook's eyes.
  7. You're kidding yourself if you believe ownership will bring in any GM or Pres with the balls to stand up for themselves. It's gonna be an immediate interview disqualifier.
  8. You're out of contention for anything surround roster move decisions.
  9. The players tonight absolutely did not deserve booing, but I will say that it's hard to discern who is booing who in an arena. Owners, staff, and players kinda get all lumped into one there. I was hoping for a &^@# Aquilini or &^@# the owners chant every game this season, but people aren't ready for that for some reason.
  10. The immediate need is new ownership. Nonis was fired for not making a stupid trade for Brad Richards and then missing the playoffs. Gillis survived a Cup run until things went south and, Gillis' own words, Torts was not his choice but was fired after that disaster season instead of rebuilding. Then Linden came in as Pres of Hockey Ops as lip service to the fans. This became apparent as he called for a rebuild as well but was forced out for JB and the Aquilini yes man crew continuation project. Fast forward to today where we are debatably nowhere but with a few good pieces, and people still want to blame Green or the Benning for the clear faults of ownership. This team is owned by clowns, and we're the ones suffering. ed: grammer* ed 2: *grammar
  11. Let's not kid ourselves that any of our local reactions would be different had Ottawa won 6-2. We still have a long road ahead.
  12. Man I'm having an absolute blast watching Garland this season. Dude reminds me of a feisty Ronning so much. Nice play McDavid, er... Miller!
  13. Butter chicken, garlic naan, and whiskey make for a fine evening. May wander down to my local Turkish joint for a walnut baklava after
  14. Neither should be moved prior to Green and JB's firing. But since ownership has all heads up all asses all bets are off on that one. The Aquilinis have legit ruined this franchise.
  15. No knee-jerk reaction here, but when Petey signed his 3 year deal I thought, f*ck it, if we need to you're now trade bait for a right handed dman in year 2 or 3. Now I'm wondering if he'll get his act together enough to be worth the return we'd need. Kid is in a massive slump, and it looks night and day different from the Sedin early day struggles cause they were getting out muscled. Petey is flat out making himself look heartless.
