    The trip was a trip, sucks that it was called though while already on the PK and in our own end of the ice. Game management, unless it's not and the refs plain ass-suck like they always do.

    No idea, love the anticipation of the summer cause these options are way above my pay grade and training camp next season should be fascinating.

    I was thinking today about how much fun the covid bubble play-in was against Minnesota and how exciting it was to see us push Vegas to 7 games. Slight contrast to now where we need to rely on the similar Lotto Max type of luck to get in, but are down our starting goalie instead of having the 2 months for Marky to get healthy first. Still got my ticket money right here:

    Well yeah 6 mil is the free agency dman price most teams who were $&!# like we were/are have to ante up to bring in. If we trade OEL and Myers and somehow bring in 2 top 4 dmen plus a replacement for Hamonic I'll eat prime rib for dinner. Don't see 3 out of 3 of those things happening, 1, maybe 2 if we're lucky. I'd call that a rebuilt defence.

    What I perhaps failed to convey is that some people seem a bit mixed about how we can't dump seemingly poor players without retaining cap or offering assets while also not overpaying free agents in competitive D markets. Can't have it both ways.

    Gotcha. Trade Myers and OEL plus add assets to dump them and we're balling again with Hughes and nobody in our top 4. You're right that we're up against the cap, though. Only juice we have to alleviate it comes from moving forwards like JT and Boeser, maybe Pettersson if Allvin really wants to gamble with his to be short lived tenure if it doesn't work out.

    Yep, and if he's as bad as some think he's gonna cost a cap team to unload. Then we get to replace him with 2 top 4 D which we all know are easy to find. Trade him, I don't care either way, I just wonder how much thought people apply toward the realistic problem of adding 1 top 4 dman in an offseason, let alone 2 which we'll need if he's out. Gonna be an interesting summer that's for damn sure.

    Ok, so in your mind Myers cost us the playoffs and he's gone. Who we getting to replace his minutes and keep in mind we now need 2 top 4 dmen. I'm all for rebuilding the D and have been bitching about our $&!# defensive drafting, but give your head a shake if you think Myers cost us the postseason.

    I want a defense rebuild and don't care how we get it. Truth is I've given it no thought and don't see a way we can keep both Miller and Boeser next season and one of them could garner a top 4 dman.

    I missed all the daily news, but I know he began skating Mar 15th, whether he continued with training or not I'm unsure. I was legit stoked for him to play as 4th line center this season so if he were able to return for even a game or 2 I'd love to get to the 1st one just to cheer him on. Long covid is no joke.

    Same man, any Canadian team but the Leafs. Fans of all teams stink, but it's not them and/or their players but the sap-dripping media that piss me off. Leaf-blow the Leafs.

    I bought some cheez whiz for the first time in years and years as an emusifier for queso mac. It's salty, but no regrets. Not much other use to be honest as it doesn't really taste like cheese at all.

    Yup. Imagine thinking that games in April would matter when Green and Jombo were first fired. I was resigned to a toasted season and draft pick.
