lol I'm not surprised.. when was the last time Gillis told us what his real plans are - you don't because you don't talk about potential trades until they're finalized who saw the Booth, Ballard, Higgins, Lappy, Hodgson, Schneider, or even Weise trade coming? I wouldn't be surprised if he's already approached some of our NTC's and asked for potential deals but only kept them because he doesn't want any leaks that could break off any potential trades

Besides the Hodgson trade, where Kassian is slowing coming into form, name one deal that he's made where he got "fleeced" I'm not saying he's perfect, but blindly saying we need to get rid of him without offering any practical solution such as who to replace him is simply making you look like a whiny band wagoner No I have not waited long enough, especially not after Nonis and Dave Poille both agreed with Gillis' statement in that this year is a very difficult year to make any significant trades due to lowered cap. I'm willing to willing to wait til deadline and if not, this off season before I officially join the fire Gillis campaign

so you're writing this season off even before the trade deadline?... I would wait until this offseason to see what he does first before pulling the plug on him... besides, who would be your ideal replacement of him? can we get rid of you instead?

While All of Edler's weaknesses are currently exposed, Garrison is having a better season, and Edler carrying higher cap hit??

Because he can get us the highest return out of all of our defense not naming Tanev and Hamhuis The fact is he doesn't play a physical game, he doesn't clear the crease effectively and he doesn't have the shot accuracy that we need him to have He was brought in to replace Salo and other than staying healthy due to a lack of physical game, he hasn't done anything close to that expectation. That's why we need to sell high on him while he's having a decent offensive season instead of selling low on Edler while he's having the worst season of his career EDIT: the fact that he's from white rock only contributes to the fact that he wants to play here, this the home town discount... That's not a legit reason to not trade him consider Edler signed for less than what he could've gotten on UFA market as well

Ok trying to be positive here... Silver linings, silver linings, deep breaths deep breaths Pair Edler with Corrado, Edler has been needing a reliable partner since departure of Salo and let's hope Corrado can provide him, ideally I would've have liked Tanev at this spot.. This is also Corrado's big chance to further proof that he belongs in NHL, making one of our D expendable and open up a trade Schroeder and Kassian needs to continue to develop, if we need another forward on the roster, I hope we call up Grenier or Archinald or even Jensen to let them develop in the big league instead of trading prospect and picks for another temp bandaid Daniel, Kesler, Burrows really needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask themselves if they want to carry this team on their shoulder and lift the team up, or they don't mind sinking with it... If they decide to do the latter, we need to be sellers at the deadline and develop for the future. Aka tank this season and get a higher pick On the game...
