I wouldn't be surprised if he's already approached some of our NTC's and asked for potential deals but only kept them because he doesn't want any leaks that could break off any potential trades

Besides the Hodgson trade, where Kassian is slowing coming into form, name one deal that he's made where he got "fleeced" I'm not saying he's perfect, but blindly saying we need to get rid of him without offering any practical solution such as who to replace him is simply making you look like a whiny band wagoner No I have not waited long enough, especially not after Nonis and Dave Poille both agreed with Gillis' statement in that this year is a very difficult year to make any significant trades due to lowered cap. I'm willing to willing to wait til deadline and if not, this off season before I officially join the fire Gillis campaign

Because he can get us the highest return out of all of our defense not naming Tanev and Hamhuis The fact is he doesn't play a physical game, he doesn't clear the crease effectively and he doesn't have the shot accuracy that we need him to have He was brought in to replace Salo and other than staying healthy due to a lack of physical game, he hasn't done anything close to that expectation. That's why we need to sell high on him while he's having a decent offensive season instead of selling low on Edler while he's having the worst season of his career EDIT: the fact that he's from white rock only contributes to the fact that he wants to play here, this the home town discount... That's not a legit reason to not trade him consider Edler signed for less than what he could've gotten on UFA market as well

I want Schroeder over santo on 2nd line is due to the fact that I want Higgins Santo and Hansen focus more on defensive responsibility ... an area which all 3 of them are doing better at than their offensive games ... plus I believe Schroeder is a better passer than Santo and this will benefit Kesler more

Look, I know they played well, I know the effort is there, the game plan is there, what they lack is FINISH.... pretty much everything is there except putting the pack in the opponent's net.... and I'm actually quite confident they'll be able to compete in the playoffs once they re-discover their finishing touches I'm saying the team is mediocre right now simply because of the results... and the matter of fact is we are close to that elite status, but we're not there yet (we're 3-4-3 against pacific division.. and 2 of those wins were against Oilers and Lames).. and to me, if you're not in the elite company, you're a mediocre team because your chance to compete for the cup is so low that people are gonna question if its even worth it to go in and get swept I don't really wanna argue with you.. because i know we both love this team and want to see this team do well(confident that they can will do better too).. but I gotta ask, if they're not mediocre, then what do you call them? good?

you said it yourself, "a bunch of 3rd period collapses" and we are still not mediocre? when you put in the effort and the results are not there, you're mediocre - we just don't compare well to those elite teams right now will we get to that elite status once again this season? maybe when our boys find their scoring touches, we can roll all 4 lines, and limit those 3rd period collapses to once per maybe 7-8 games instead of once per every other game so... until then, we're going to be considered a middle of the pack team
