Just got back from tattoo #7!

Yes, my wife got a piece done by him, it's a year old and looks incredible. I really want to get my act together and book with him for this winter. Gotta make it happen & stop making excuses!

Yeah, I've got a piece I want him to do, just have to arrange the travel...it's so much easier for me to get work done close that I put off the ones I have to travel for!

Riley Hogan might not be quite up to Remis level, but I love his work and he's in Calgary, so a lot closer than Europe or the US.

Yeah I highly recommend reading the Proverbs of Hell, the whole work is really good, but the Proverbs are very thought provoking. "You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough"

It's a William Blake quote, it's one of the proverbs of Hell from his work "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell", which is amazing. There's actually several proverbs of Hell I'd like done, but there's several other pieces I want done first. Tattoo today is #7, got about an hour & a half til ink time.

Gettin' some work done today, and new tattoo day is always so exciting! It dawned on me that I haven't seen a thread dedicated to the fabulous world of body ink, and a quick search showed no such thread, so I figured I'd start one. Feel free to post your own tattoos, or even just ones you've seen & think are sweet! This is the first tattoo I received, & it's the only one that I can't remember the artists name, or even the studio I got it done. It's my own drawing, had it for over a year & then got it as a Christmas gift.

Batman V Superman. Pretty bad. This flick had some moments, but they were few and far between, and they were only good when compared to the rest of the film. 4/10

Marvel can't do a decent F4 flick cuz' Marvel Studios doesn't have the character rights. Marvel Studios is behind Netflix's Daredevil, which is why it's so much better than the Afleck version.

Yeah, I'm fairly fortunate to own some sexy basses! Patience and always looking are the tips I have for gettin' great guitars. Funnily enough, I bought that Ric in Vancouver after a trip out in which I caught 2 Canucks games (losses, one was the return of Lou against the Coyotes after his long groin injury) in 2009. It was last minute, spur of the moment as the L&M was recently moved and was right beside the bus terminal. I literally bought the bass, and hightailed it to catch the bus for my flight home. The verse & chorus does really only need 1 string (I still use 2), but it's the intro riff that the other 2 strings are needed. I mean, it can be done without them, but it's a pain & doesn't sound as good IMO. What instrument(s) do you play? Next time you're back out here we'll go to a jam, crush a few tunes on stage!

You'd need at least 3 if you don't want to fret, Tragically Hip tunes usually have a minimum of 3 chords. Just played through Ahead By A Century & Blow At High Dough, those 2 would be tricky for me to play properly with only 2 strings, I use all 4 for those ones! New Orleans I just did with 2 strings, you have to move around the fret board quite a bite more, but it's doable! Here's another gig jem
