TL and Benning were not brought in just to keep the core intact from Nonis/Gillis and continue losing. They'll be putting their fingerprints on some changes either this offseason or next to produce a competitive team again that can get in for a round or 2 in the playoffs (longer term to be once again competitive for the top teams in the West against California 3 and Chicago/St Lous). Youth will be obviously be served almost immediately and drafting at later rounds will be key (finding gems that Benning does well)...the question is who stays or who goes... Kesler is the obvious choice they'll be dealing Booth - contract is too rich Someone on D (Garrison?Tanev?)

Trevor got his man. Benning is an ex Canuck, familiar with the west coast, brings a winning mentality and tough to beat model, decent drafting ability that the team has never had. Doesn't hurt that Florida won't be our only trading partner moving forward (Benning has lots of connections with the old boys club). Desjardins Gulutzan and Houda for coaching staff and we are set for the draft...
