  1. God damn it. disappointing loss for the lions, but what a great game.
  2. I disagree with how these comments are disrespectful. Every owner wants to win the super bowl every year and will be disappointed if their team does not do so. As I've pointed out before I'm sure the Rooney family would like more super bowls as well and the Steelers have the most in NFL history. But I do agree with you in the fact Irsay needs to shut up and please get off twitter. So god damn annoying
  3. Here are my top 5 games for week 7: 1) Colts vs Broncos - Manning making his return to Indianapolis plus both are good teams 2) Lions vs Bengals - Maybe only this high for me because you're obviously interested in your team, but both are good teams and it should be close 3) Eagles vs Cowboys - for NFC east lead 4) Steelers vs Ravens - imo best rivalry in the NFL even though both teams aren't doing as well as they have in past years 5) Jets vs Patriots - still a good rivalry and the game should be closer than the last game as the Pats are pretty banged up on D
  4. Carroll doesn't really bother me at all, I quite like his energy actually. I'm sure if he was the coach of a team I didn't like I would find him annoying, but I don't really care about Seattle so I find him entertaining.
  5. Frankly I don't care if you talk about the Patriots or not when there is a true reason to discuss them, but tbh it gets kind of annoying how half the stuff that gets discussed somehow turns into Patriots talk. And it's not just Pats fans doing it so don't think I'm calling you out, alot of it is from guys who are just trolling on the Pats fans to rile up the patriot fans and keep on bringing **** up. Now onto actual football talk, I didn't get a chance to watch the game so how was it? Just from looking at headlines everybody is talking about beastmode so I guess Lynch went off, anything else interesting happen? Good game or no?
  6. Sportsnet 360 if you havn't found it yet
  7. Okay I never really read any of the articles on it, just a bunch of headlines. If he sounded unappreciative I'm pretty sure he didn't mean to. I mean I get you may be disappointed to only get 1 title out of it, but Manning made Indianapolis a team people talked about year in and year out and gave them a lot of media marketability which I'm sure Irsay did appreciate
  8. 1. Don't see what the big deal is about Irsay saying he wanted more championships with Manning tbh. Wouldn't all owners want more championships? I'm sure the Rooney family wants more championships and the Steelers have the most all time. 2. I was expecting the Freeman change to be made. I think they've given up on Ponder being their future and it was never gonna be Cassel so may as well give Freeman the chance. 3. This one gets me really fired up. I may be a bit biased be a Lions fan but imo that was the biggest bs fine ive seen in a long time (in terms of the NFL). I watched that game and there was no comment made by the announcer or anything it may be illegal, just that he hit him hard. A play like that happens multiple times a game and there are rarely punishments on it, but of course because its Suh its a fine. I mean how do you hit the qb now? He lowered his head so they fined him, yet if he kept his head up he would have made contact with the helmet and it would have been a penalty, plus since its Suh probably a fine as well. I won't play dumb though, Suh has brought alot of this unneeded attention upon himself with reckless and stupid plays in the past, but I think the punishment in this instance was a JOKE. 4. I agree with the Vince Young thing that its funny and actually think they should sign him and give him a try. It'd be hard to give them worse qb play then they've been getting recently anyways. It's not like Young was a complete bust either, actually did have a couple decent seasons at the beginning of his career in Tennessee (in terms of wins/losses).
  9. Another big injury to a key member of the Patriots D. Jerod Mayo likely done for year with a torn pectoral. http://www.nfl.com/n...ectoral-surgery Just off the fact they've now lost 2 or what I consider their 3 best defenders (Wilfork and Talib being the other 2) one would think the Patriots would be in trouble. But of course like most other times when I'm thinking/hoping the Patriots might not be able to recover from something, they usually do just fine.
  10. Not really sure if this should be going in NFL talk, but it relates to adrian peterson so: http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2013/10/adrian_peterson_jr_2_reportedly_brutally_beaten_by_man_dating_mother_of_child.php can't even imagine what it would be like to get a phone call that something like this had happened to your son.
  11. I think game of the week is gonna be the Jaguars vs the Broncos jk. Ya looking on paper that should be the best game of the week. Two of the best qb's playing each other, should be good
  12. I would say if the Falcons playoffs hopes weren't over after a 1-4 start its pretty clear they are now that Julio Jones is likely out for the season.
  13. It was Romo's fault for throwing that pick at the end of the game, but maybe if Dallas' defence had forced even one punt the game could have gone differently. Kind of tough to blame a qb who threw for 500+ yards, 5 touchdowns and one interception.
  14. Wow, only getting to watch the 4th quarter, but what a game. Very happy I started Romo today on fantasy.
  15. I think close to everybody in North America has to eat some crow.
  16. Well so far whenever i guess a game I'm not even close, but I'll guess again Buffalo: 13 Cleveland: 17 I like Cleveland's D and they're at home. I don't know a enough about either team to go much deeper than that
  17. Great game for the Lions today. The o-line opened up massive holes for Reggie Bush and the D-line dominated the bears o-line and pushed them wherever they pleased. So excited for next weeks game vs the packers. Really unsure about that one. On one hand the Lions have been better this year. On the other the Packers have Rodgers, are coming off a bye week and the Lions just don't win at Lambeau (I think 91 was the last time they won there and they play there every year). Should be a good one. Oh and wtf is happening in Cleveland? And I didn't see the game but my friend told me manning put up his numbers in only 3 quarters. What a beast
  18. I agree with your point in general, but you're missing a team and it's who I actually think is Denver's biggest competitor in the AFC and that is the Cincinnati Bengals. They have a top 5 receiver in the league, a dynamic, albeit young and still unproven runner in Gio Bernard and Dalton, while he won't win you many games he won't lose many either. But what puts them ahead of most everybody is their D. The best defensive line in football I think with Geno Atkins, Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap and Domata Peko. Not saying far and away the biggest challenger, just my opinion on who is.
  19. I get that your just trying to get under the skin of the patriot fans on here, but that is a beyond stupid comment that made my head hurt a little. Not really a fan of Brady, but I can respect greatness.
  20. Nate Burleson has broken his arm after trying to valiantly save a piece of pizza falling off the front seat and in the process crashing into a median. Reports are no alcohol involved. If the Browns are really shopping Josh Gordon the Lions should seriously consider trying to get him.
  21. Well it looks like my gut feeling was very, very wrong today. Denver has been absolutely dominant and deserves every bit of this lead they've built up.
  22. What's everybody's predictions for the monday night game tonight. I won't go as far as to say Oakland will beat Denver, but for some reason i feel it will be closer than most are thinking Oakland: 24 Denver: 31
  23. I don't quite understand your argument on that. The guys original point is that they have been one of the best the last 5 years and you argue that and tell him he is wrong by saying they were really bad until 2007 when they started getting better (that's 6 years ago). Also why do you keep on tearing apart your team just to make Brady sound more godly. Yes he's a great qb, but nobody does it by themselves.
