  1. Philly would need to give up a Washington type deal to get up to #1 for Mariota. They need to move all the way from the 20th (i think?) pick to get the franchise QB. Washington was at #6 when they made that trade for Griffin. 3 firsts and 2 2nds. Would be a bad deal for Philly imo. I think they should either try and draft somebody like Hundley later or maybe give up a 3rd for somebody like Cousins. Those extra picks would be put to better use to sort out that secondary and plug other holes in the lineup.
  2. Well it looks like he'll be staying. Reports are saying he's been given complete control of all personnel decisions
  3. Also when do the keeper picks need to be made for the CDC fantasy football?
  4. Jeezus christ. Get back from a week away from internet. First update I get back is that Suh is suspended. This = heart attack. Thank god he got reinstated even if the move was stupid. Murray would be able to feast up the gut with the rotation of Mosley, Fluellen and Reid there. Should be a good game though and it will be decided by which Matt Stafford decides to show up today. The gunslinger who can throw for 300 any given day or the guy in Green Bay who was throwing wide receiver screens 5 feet over his guys head.
  5. Come back to the forum after a little break to get ready for a few days away and expect to hear some debate about the earlier games and the current division title game going on. But great to see its Pats fans v Seahawks fans again. Yay
  6. Agree with the first part, but unless Dallas' O-Line has fallen off a bit it'll be a battle in the trenches. One thing they need to focus on is to get Golden Tate more involved again and to just replace Reggie Bush with Theo Riddick. Reggie hasn't done anything all year and while Theo isn't a great a runner he is a better pass catcher, but yes it should be a good game. Can't wait.
  7. Not too excited about that. Romo has been great this year and they are hot. Only benefit i see is an average defense and an indoor game
  8. To be honest I missed that game so not too sure about the calls in that so hard for me to compare, but just frustrating to watch. Oh well though, I guess if you told me before the season started Detroit makes the playoffs and was in position to win the division in week 17 I'd have taken it
  9. Don`t even care about not trying to sound to whiny/petty anymore. It felt like fix was in this game starting with the penalty difference, the intentional grounding, the missed holdings and now the reversal of the 2 pt conversion! I need a drink
  10. The step could probably have been avoided, but in his defense he was a step away from Rodgers and got a shove from the offensive linemen. Not on the same level as his previous stomp or Raiola's, but not smart. And not grounding, even the announcers who have been on Rodgers jock this whole game can't come up with a reason why that was grounding. Not that it matters too much this game.
  11. Pretty lame call on the roughing the passer to set up the touchdown for Calvin, but I guess technically it was a penalty and it helped set up the touchdown so I'll take it
  12. Wow Rodgers is in rough shape today. Didn't realize how bad that calf was before the game
  13. Pats showed it earlier this year and Packers are showing it today. The way to beat Detroit's defense is to up the tempo
  14. Terrible defence to start, but then 7 straight stops inside the 5 for a turnover on downs helps things feel better
  15. Winston? I know his character issues are pretty bad, but everything I've read is that his physical talents and winning pedigree will probably make a QB needy team roll the dice on him. Outside of Winston maybe Leonard Williams from USC or trade down with somebody like the Jets?
  16. Can the Lions game just start already? Don`t even think I was this excited about a game before their wild card game against NO a few years ago. I want the first round bye and the streak of not winning in Lambeau to end today.
  17. Or maybe DeAndre Levy. People may think it is a bit homerish as he isn't a household name, but he is so far third in total tackles and first in solo tackles. I think he is the 3rd alternate
  18. Has over 900 yards and 6 touchdowns missing one month and another 2 games as active, but not seeing the field. He's still the best, but it's not clear cut like it used to be. Dez, Julio, Antonio Brown and Jordy Nelson Beckham is pretty damn good and on a serious hot streak right now; and not saying he won't turn out, but talk to me when he's played more than a dozen games to put him on that level
  19. Thank you to Philly for helping the Lions clinch a postseason birth. Chicago game is a wash now unless GB somehow manages to lose to the Bucs. It will come down to week 17 to see which of the two gets the 2nd seed or the 6th. Can't wait
  20. 1) Rodgers 2) Brady 3) Watt 4) Everybody else Watt is probably the most dominant player in the league today, but I just don't see a defensive player winning MVP unless the top QB's have really off years. Rodgers and Brady have not. Another question. Who does everybody have as their most surprising team in both a good or bad way. The team that has surprised me the most with how well they are doing is for sure the Bills and in a not so good way is a tight race between New Orleans and Chicago.
  21. I think Todd Bowles might be a good fit. Chicago needs to try and rebuild that god awful defense and hiring Bowles would be a good start. However I've heard the Bears owners are pretty cheap and may not be willing to buy out Trestman's contract
  22. Ya me. He's no superstar like that debate was talking about a few years ago and he turns it over too much, but a middle of the pack quarterback is no bad thing unless you have championship aspirations (Cincinnati). Plus he seems to finally have a good second option outside of Cruz with Beckham. Last time he had that Nicks was actually pretty good and if memory serves so was Eli
  23. Agreed. Eli is no superstar and he turns the ball over too often, but he is a good quarterback and with Beckham, Cruz and I really like their running back committee with Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams that offense is pretty darn good. Get an offensive lineman or two, maybe a tight end and that is a really good offense
  24. 2 and 0 in the CDC Consolation bracket. I'm coming for that #1 pick baby (or did I already win, no idea how it works lol)
  25. what the hell were the 3 Cowboys linemen doing just standing there with the ball literally sitting at their feet lol
