Cool, I do think they will all make the Canuck's the year after this anyway but if not at least one of Gaunce or Shinkaruk could be called up in 2014 from the AHL.

That's right the Canucks can call him up to sit on the bench for the playoffs because his team will be done for the year by then. It is the same for Shinkaruk and Horvat who will have to operate under the same rules next year as well if they do not make the Canucks where as Gaunce can play in the AHL the year after this.

Ya, I know he only got 4 points in 2 games with the Canadian Juniors... what a bust. What has he done for us lately? Training camp opens in a month why not see if he has game....man oh man

Gaunce may make it on the wing; Gaunce/Schroeder/Hansen would be a hard working 3rd line.

on a side note I don't think Sammy had near the hands that Horvat seems to have, Bo sees the ice better as well, only real comparison is the defense.

Horvat is 18 years old listed as 6' and 206 Lbs. By the time he is 20 and playing on the 2nd line for the Canucks he will likely be 6'1" and 215 or better, just look at him the kid has Big bones. That qualifies as a power forward and he did outscore Nichushkin in the playoffs and was much better defensively by all accounts.

I agree with your sentiments over Higgins and Hansen but Gaunce either get's lot's of playing time as the 3rd or 4th line center of he goes back to Junior. He can't be sent to the AHL Utica Comets because he is to young it violates Canadian Junior Hockey league rules. This is the same for Shinkaruk and Horvat, they make the starting lineup or it's back to junior. None of them will be kept up as a 13th forward it would not make any sense to do that anyway.

Lou will play great, better then ever, win the Olympics and get traded to Florida at the trade deadline for Bugsad and a pick. The alternative is Lou gets pulled for Lack or Erickson one to many times, misses the Olympics and get's bought out in the Summer.

I am hoping Gaunce and Horvat can push each other enough to force the Canucks to keep them up for the 9 game stint. I still think they will need a goal a game or 1.5 points a game to stick, there defensive game and overall game can't be to Schroeder's level so they are going to have to do something special (hits/takeaways,etc.) and produce.

That is a good point, they are still listing Connauton as in the system as well so it might just be off season not updated... I would trade him for a 3rd line center only bigger.

Patrick McNally had a better rookie season than Schultz and could prove to be better in one or two years. Until then here is hoping we get Garrison or Suter.
