Really weird how people are framing this as because Gaudette supposedly gave the team Covid (with nothing to back that up). That's a serious accusation to throw around with no evidence, and also a ridiculous defense of management.

Not really weird when his wife literally said before the season started she wasn't going to listen to the Canucks or NHL precautions, and then Adam is the one who tested first and then the whole team had to deal with it. All speculation, but kind of weird to just ignore her comments actually.

  2. Doesn't surprise me especially after all the videos I watched about a year ago from incidents where police abuse their power and just are clueless in what they're doing sometimes, this just adds to that list now. Yet people still will claim it's just a few bad apples their not all like this, true their not all like this but there's a lot and I mean a lot more than just a few bad apples and I'm a little sick of hearing people use that sad excuse for this crap that continues to happen. It's the training that's the bigger issue and that is what really needs to be addressed.

And they say it was because they couldn't see no plates, but in the video you can see the papers in the rear window even though it's tinted you can still see them, are cops getting their eyes checked... Because it's kind of a sad excuse on their part when you can clearly see some type of paper in the top right corner of the rear window.

I think they are saying you can't catch covid from taking the vaccine?  I guess people are concerned about that?

Cause you can still get covid after being vaccinated and you can get sick from any vaccine.

That's what I've been reading and seeing, so when I saw that tweet from the CDC I had to read it a couple times because it could almost be interpreted as something else.

  4. I'm shocked by the crowd that's just insane. MLB doesn't care about their players, when there is a pass ball and the catcher has to go grab it at the screen there's no way that's 6 feet distance from the people at the screen there. What about a foul ball down the line now the players have to interact with the people to catch the ball or just say screw it I'm not going for it...

She clearly missed the point, even when given the chance to amend herself.

It's not that she wasn't ALLOWED to go shopping. It's taking extra precautions (key word: precautions - not the same as restrictions) to AVOID COVID. One of those steps is to wear a mask, for example, but in no way do they guarantee anything. They're just something that can help mitigate the risks, so people like her are more or less EXPECTED to do it, especially given that her husband is dealing with hockey players who absolutely have to be COVID negative. Instead, she decides "Sorry, I'm not going to listen to that."

Like, she potentially could be one of those people who could careless ruin the players and families that are now under COVID. I'm not saying she was definitely the one to do it. I'm saying she didn't use due diligence. THAT is the issue.

If it were me, I'd follow EVERY SINGLE PRECAUTION as if they were restrictions because that minimizes my chance of getting COVID. She clearly doesn't think the same way.

I believe the video was from December because that's supposedly when she was on the podcast, although don't quote me on that maybe she appeared on it a different time later but I haven't seen anything. That would of been before the season started but around the exact time it was announced there would be a NHL season, they were probably just receiving the information on what it would be for the upcoming season, but still doesn't look good on her part imo. So regarding the issue the Canucks are dealing with right now we can't point fingers at really anyone, but it doesn't look good when it was Adam who tested positive first and you have his wife saying things like that before the season started, just doesn't look good.

Not sure, was she on "social media" or having a zoom call with some  friends?

I did some digging and seems to be she was on this show called The Broadscast which started up last year of 5 females for talking about sports in Vancouver on a podcast.

    @BroadscastPod

And btw her response to the video was this.

"Those weren’t rules. Those were recommendations... I was allowed to go grocery shopping"

There are many more people, higher population density and much more opportunity for mutations.

Yes the mutations, that's what it will all come down to for ending this eventually, just needs to keep getting weaker hopefully and our bodies start fighting it easier.

Man, I hope no one on the Canucks suffer from ongoing health issues that some do after getting COVID.

Take care fellas. Listen to the health experts.

This is not just a 2020 disaster, its 2021 as well.  We won't be watching any meaningful Canucks games until October now. :(

That's probably one of the biggest concerns is their health after it, but also dealing with it as well right now and just making sure everyone pulls through.

But on a side note to lighten the mood, they weren't going to be playing meaningful games until next season anyways  they weren't making the playoffs this year even if they didn't deal with covid.

Maybe that kick to the head at their wedding dislodged something. Pretty stupid to go on social media when your husband is part of the league and say stuff against league-issued protocols. Some people, I tell ya.

Definitely a very poor judgment on her part, and I'm not happy I saw it at all tbh it's actually hard to watch and very cringe worthy imo.

  10. Flashback in 1918 the Spanish flu they had no Vaccines back then, it wasn't until around 1940 vaccines for influenza became a thing for people. How did the virus end after 2 years and about 25-50 Millions deaths, eventually people became immune to it and in 1920 in what they call the 4th wave wasn't as deadly anymore.

Flash forward to now, and we're in the 3rd wave with Vaccines going out, but our means of transportation are much more extreme then back in 1918-20. I see so many similarities between these two, besides the part where people turned blue back in the day, but my guess is will have to wait until the 4th wave still before we can get this virus under control or the body starts being more immune to it.

Yeah, I did. People are overreacting to it, and it is pathetic. I'm pretty sure she was talking about grocery shopping, yet people are acting like she is blatantly ignoring all the rules and being reckless, and no one has proof of that.

Umm how are they overreacting to it? She literally says she isn't going to follow the precautions either the Canucks or the NHL sent them, that's being reckless and doing what you want instead and then laughing about it. Obviously the league doesn't want them going into the stores to cut down on the risk of the players getting the virus and spreading it, sounds like they want them doing online shopping but she thinks she doesn't have to do it that way and if she wants to go to the store to get 1 thing she doesn't give a crap and will do it anyways. That's called being reckless, the proof is in the video.
