Who said I didn't grasp that? Our defence is a ways a way and so is our forward group and I realize that it will take time. Like I said if ev pans out that's fantastic, but it may not with all of these kids as much as Id love for it to. Our prospects group has gotten much better though which is incredible moving forward.

I appreciate your optimism and I like those lineups, if ev pans out, and reaches their full potential. But we ain't going anywhere with the defence we have right now. I'd feel much better having Dahlin on the back end instead of another forward, but we'd have to get super lucky in order for that to happen

I really want us to draft Petterson if we land in the 4-5 spot. I have a feeling he can turn into a Zetterburg top line center. Also the thought of a Dahlen - Petterson - Boeser as our top line with Baer - Bo - Goldobin as a second line sounds exciting..

I would take the best player available and if that happens to be a centerman in the first round who might have a chance at becoming a 1st line player then we should go that route. We have Bo, Gaudette, Sutter, etc already that could fill in the 2nd line, 3rd line center role. We desperately need a 1st line center moving forward to help the rebuild. I have a feeling Petterson could turn out to be a really good one in about 3 years. He reminds me of Zetterburg.

That would be awesome. I really hope that happens. One more season of sucking and loading up on picks especially in a strong draft in 2018 might put us in a good position to compete in a few years..

He reminds me of the Sedins. Very smart, dedicated to his craft, and always trying to improve. The Sedins will be great mentors for him. I think he will be one of our future leaders one day. Just a solid all around guy.

Draft + 1 = Knights Draft + 2 = AHL Draft + 3 = Canucks No need to rush this kid. He needs big mins in the minors and to be put in every situation as a #1 defender. Lidstrom entered the NHL at 21 years old. I'm not saying he will be that good but we want to give him the best development plan to become a #1 in the NHL. So basically don't do what EDM does and rush prospects.

I think this computer sim is a little bogus. I had Montreal win 3 in a row it can be that easy. The real sim will keep us in the top 3 I can feel it

Not to worried about Brock signing with us personally. I'd be a little more worried about Demko though.
