  1. That really has really look to it.

What is the other top 6 line of the future?

    Shinkaruk-______-Jensen???

Might be better to split up the power game a bit.

I was thinking Mcdavid. We're talking about an elite set-up man with snipers on either side. The line would be speedy and all 3 of those guys have their own unique skillsets. However all the anti-tankers will pounce on me quicker than Nikolaj Ehlers so I'd better hide my opinion

  2. Ritchie

    - skating is not a problem. He skates well for someone his size

    - physicality is not a problem. He uses his body well when he needs to.

    - his hands are not a problem. Good passing ability, decent shot

    - shows he has decent hockey IQ

If he can wrap that all up, man oh man

  3. What do you guys think of a Loui Ericsson - Ryan Kesler trade. Same age, same cap hit. I think Ericsson would really like it here, and he said he'd love to play with the sedins. And Kesler seems like he'd fit in with the Bruins Style.

If Benning is indeed coming here, there is routes within the bruins front office that could pave a way for a deal. Boston would also probably be a team Kesler would waive his NTC to.

I would only like to see Kesler traded if it was for a rebuild. If not, he should stay to mentor guys like Horvat and Gaunce

  4. Our new GM could make a splash on draft day.

Kesler to Pitts for Pouliot + their 1st which is in the late 20s

Edler + Schroeder to Anaheim for Ottawa's 10th

Use our 6th overall + Tanev to Edmonton for their 3rd overall.

Stay away from Tanev. I don't want the foul hands of the Edmonton organization to even go close to him

I would do Kesler + anything for Hampus Lindholm and their 10th. Although, there isn't much of a chance Anaheim gives us Lindholm

  5. I watched the highlights.

The kid is very strong on his skates. His shot is good -not great. His IQ is normal. His skills are bullying his way to the net and cutting around the outside. His skating is average.

He reminds me of Steve Bernier. A guy who had the full package in junior but could never elevate his game 2 steps at the NHL level and became a grinder.

Unless he figures out how to grow to 6ft 5 and 250 pounds, he will not have the same physical advantages at the NHL level that afford him his glory in junior.

His skating is not average. I'd say he's fastest next to Ehlers. His shot is a better than "good". He's 6'1 210 lbs at 18, he won't need to put on a whole lot of weight to be effective physically. The only reason why I wouldn't take him at 6 is because there's a possibility he becomes a David Booth. He has all the tools but lacks the iq to be truly effective with his tools.

  6. Glad we're solid trading partners with Florida, we'll figure something out for that first ;)

that could be a big splash for our new manager

  7. Canucks went off the board for Bure. Worked out ok

We took bure in the 6th round. I couldn't care less as to who we take in the 6th round. We have the 6th overall, why gamble on that

  8. If we have a pick anywhere after 15, I'd be happy to take Virtanen. It's always good to take someone with all the physical tools so coaches have something to work with. Virtanen can skate, he has decent size, and he has a very good shot
