  1. What's going on with Juolevi right now? he has another playoff game before coming over here?
  2. What is Juolevis contract with his club right now? Is it just for this year and he comes over and plays for the Comets or Canucks?
  3. hah you must be so fun at parties..... the air must be nice and clean up where you are talking from hey
  4. He is only going to get better folks, now he is starting to realize how much faster he is than the opposition, and how to hold off players while blowing by a dman and cutting to the net. This type of play and his speed alone will draw alot of penalties for our team. He led the team in hits last night and they were perfect game hits, ones that the opposition knew were coming but couldn't do anything but take a big hit lol. Big Bert had the tools but didn't really start thriving until he was 24 years old. Virtanen is still only 21 years old, way too soon to write him off. Coach Green has been a positive influence on Virtanen. It is unfortunate for Boeser to go down with an injury but at the same time, this is an opportunity to give Virtanen more playing time which is nothing but positive development for him to finish off the year. I never really knew how big Horvat was but dang both him and Virtanen are some big bodies out on the ice at 220lbs average, and how fast they can skate, watch out!
  5. welcome to the team Leipsic, can't wait to see what you can do out there!!
  6. so what is Dahlens ceiling for the Canucks? who are his comparables playing in the NHL? 2nd line LW maybe.. ?? Reunited with Pettersson on the 2nd line along with Virtanen on RW maybe?
  7. Gaudette as the 1st line C, one can only dream..... He is going to be a helluva player for us, but I think in a couple years time, it will more likely be Bo, Elias, and Gaudette as our C's down the middle. Unless you slot Elias on the LW with Bo and Boeser and throw in Gaudette on the 2nd line between Kane and JV, now that would be a line to be reckoned with.
  8. Juolevi will be a great complimentary piece to our elusive quest for the championship!! If he can be like Tanev but with a good slap shot or snap shot then I would be happy because that would be pretty effective compliment to a already dangerous bunch of forwards, I have seen that he can put the puck in specific spots for forward tip-ins.
  9. I can't wait to see how Juolevi does at the WJC. Team Finland is stacked on the back end. They are a dark horse for sure this year.
  10. hahaha wasn't expecting this but man it made me laugh out loud
  11. I know that haha... that's not even close to being a pipe dream
  12. If they decide to trade Chabot for Guddy and JV, I will drive them both out myself. haha
  13. No way in heck does Ottawa trade Chabot for Guddy and JV. If that trade went down JB is a complete master trader. Chabot would be sick on the back end with Juolevi.
  14. Imagine the PP with Pettersson and Boeser. You have Boeser on 1 side and Elias on the other just ready to pounce on a 1 timer! Pettersson will have the ability to thread the needle or fire the puck home on a 1 timer, unlike Henrik who we all wish would fire the puck from time to time.
  15. I agree 100%. Imagine all those prospects going into the AHL at the same time!! The chemistry they will develop and the defensive skills to go along with their offensive creativity!! Lucky ppl in Utica next year.
  16. Gunnarson and Cederholm on Utica, man would i like to see those hits and opposing players bounce off of them.
  17. if he plays on a line with Suzuki again, he will be a key contributer for goals. When Gadjovich moves up he may have another elite centre to play with in Pettersson, you never know right..
  18. http://www.vancourier.com/pass-it-to-bulis/elias-pettersson-doesn-t-get-too-horny-picks-up-two-assists-1.22312811 apparently thats what the coach says on a normal basis, and by the players reaction, they are used to it as they are not gigglig away. there is video of it haha

  20. Sorry man, I looked on a couple of different websites such as hockeydb & NHL.com for that info, haha, you think they would have it up to date with that right?? but you really put me in my place with that correction, I should feel bad
  21. I think Boeser will make the club right out the gates and won't have much problems producing points. He has that scorers instinct and knows where to go to shoot the puck. I can only hope that Edler fricken passes to him on the power play, (Boeser looks like he can release a wicked slapshot from the left slot), or if that keeps happening then hope Coach switches him with Hutton or Stecher.
  22. Virtanen is 229 lbs and can skate like the wind. One thing to enjoy when we see him next, bodies will bounce off of him like they are hitting a brick wall. His reactionary hitting is something to see isn't it, versus his looking for players to go out and hit. If he goes back to Utica, I wouldn't be disappointed, he could get top 1st or 2nd line minutes and the chance to develop with some of the top prospects. I would like to think he makes it to the big club this year but where would he fit? He is slotted in as RW and we have an over abundance of righties. We have Rodin, Goldobin, Dorsett, Granlund, (although he is listed as a C, but played RW with the twins last year), Ericksson, (who is listed as a LW but played on his off-wing for what all 3 lines?). I read somewhere that he did play LW prior but am not sure if this is true or not. What would our lineup look like on opening night? The twins-Granlund Baertschi-Bo-Boeser Gagner-Sutter-Ericksson Rodin?Virtanen-Burmistrov-Dorsett?
  23. It was a good game for Pettersson, he did not take over the game but he brought a lot of positives. He didn't get the assist on the Andersson goal but maybe he should have?? He knows that redirected pucks sometimes land on the other players stick. He also did knock down a few pucks that were potential passes from the opposition so he shows great hand eye coordination. He has speed to burn, I wasn't expecting to see that because he slows things down in the O zone but when the puck is going the other way he flies. Would be nice to see him centre a line versus playing on the wing though. Maybe switch him and Andersson up from time to time.
