Why do you let your hate for Edler get in the way of what he's actually worth?

I feel like Doughty has earned a spot in the top 4 after the first two games and Pietrangelo would allow him to focus on offense as well. Just my opinion.

I came up with a couple ideas although that's realisticly solid value for Tavares, but too much for us and would just gut our depth. Would a 3-team trade be possible for a scenario like this?

This might sound too out to lunch, but would somehow finding a way to acquire both Tavares and Eberle be possible for us? Or way too expensive?

I would do either Franzen+Mantha or Franzen+Jurco/Tatar+1st. Franzen and Mantha seems the most realistic.

I hope this is just pure speculation. Edler for Franzen two or three years ago? Absolutely. Now? Detroit would have to add.
