      I'm at a point where if I can get something I'm confident will give me four years of solid use, I'll pay up to 1700. I say that now, and I'll probably settle between 1000-1200, but if I like something enough - I'll buy.

      No worries. Honestly I recommend a desktop if you want to game and have a longer lifespan. I just need mine to be mobile for work.
