Like I said earlier, Canada does a good job in small scale support and training, especially with it's special ops. US grunts, like the marines, basically have all the ammo they can fire so it's "spray and pray" which is one of the reasons we have an all too high friendly fire casualty problem. You take out plenty of the enemy, but you also tend to hit your own guys as well. It's been a year or two since I last checked, but Canada and the UK always went back and forth on holding the record on long distance shooting/sniping. It's ridiculous on how far away some of those shots/kills are. It's weird thinking about how some poor sap in Afghanistan goes to take a leak behind a rock and a mile and a half away some UK or Canadian sniper calmly aims and puts a hole in the side of his head.

I remember as a young kid when I got the NES on Christmas day in '85 or '86. It was the one with the gun and the dual SMB/Duck Hunt cartridge.

It makes them feel superior so I usually just ignore it. There's a reason why so many countries, including Canada, were able to afford things like universal health care. That money came from letting militaries around the world contract and become relatively impotent while the US foots the bill. I wish more people knew their military history. Canada once had one of the more powerful militaries in the world. Now it's reduced to the point where it's trying to put together a half decent Navy. I can only imagine the frustration of Canadian Generals and Admirals. One of your former Ministers of Defence sounded the bell and was ignored for a long time.

They can sink a US Navy vessel if it gets close enough to it's shores if they bum rush it with smaller explosive laden boats, but that's about it. Once they do that, they may as well pull a Bin Laden and start running for their lives because cruise missiles and missile laden drones would be headed their way. All of the embassy protests in the world wouldn't save them at that point.

If Brady is Brady of week 16, the Pats will win. If week 17 Brady shows up, the Packers will spank the Patriots.

[Report] Evan Rodrigue requests trade
SabreFan1 replied to Ossi Vaananen's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He's having an awesome year. If you want to make a Leafs fan angry, tell them that Eichel is better than Matthews. It's really burning their butts this year because Eichel is showing how much better he is and he's doing it on a lousy team. -

Eichel's old linemate from university. The Sabres picked him up after he went undrafted. He started off ok as a bottom 6 forward, but trailed off over the last year or so. If there were interest in him, the Sabres would have already traded him. Instead they just promoted a player from the AHL over him yesterday. That's likely why his agent is making noise today.
