Myers is on year two of a five deal and has been a pretty good player for us. Absolutely zero chance he get exposed in the expansion draft. Chatfield will get his 27 games.

Chatfield needs 27 games (18 more) to meet the league requirement that the Canucks have one player who played 27+ games available to the Seattle draft. This has been covered in previous discussions.

If the Canucks went on a miracle run and won the cup this year I wonder who would hand the cup to Louie? Heffy? Who would it be? Lol. Could you handle it? Tkachuk has zero character and that is what will define his career. Olli has a lot of character and is starting to make up ground. In a couple of years the Canucks will be a contender and Calgary will be in disarray and staring at a rebuild. Olli will be a solid part of the up and coming Canucks team while Tkachuk will still be, well, Tkachuk.

Thanks Deb. I had a good feeling about tonight and the boys came through. A lot of positives tonight. Schmidt getting of the Schnied, Horvat, Boeser, Hughes. And maybe the biggest plus was Holtby playing his best game as a Canuck and setting the friendly challenge bar for Demko to reach. Just a great night, and a big reset for the team. PS. Sorry Tanev and Markey but you guys are now stuck over there. Lol.

Don't forget in Horgan's BC we pay a premium of 7 to 11 percent more tax than all but 6 of the other teams in the league. Thanks to the 4 percent premium he put on the tax rate our players pay a year ago. No question that means we have to overpay free agents.

Holtby! Can't say enough about how good a game that was and what it mean to him and setting the friendly bar for Demko. Schmidt got that goal to get off the Schnied. Boeser good. Horvat good. Hughes was absolutely Hughes. The team came up big and that was a great win for the fan base.

Some more postives for tonight's game. Petey had a poor start to the year but has been basically a point a game for the last 11. He had 24 power play points last year. So far this year he only has 4. Big turnaround coming..

For the first time this year we turned the tables on Tanev and Markstrom who have been pretty happy about their offseason treason up until now. Sorry guys. Jeez, what if we actually turn out to be a better team than Calgary and you have to play out your careers there anyway?

Absolutely agree on Juolevi. He is really starting to look good. And I loved his hit on Tkachuck. But remember Chatfield must play 18 more games = 27 total for the year in order to meet the league requirement that we have one D available to the seattle draft who played 27+ games this year. Otherwise that has to be either myers or schmidt who is exposed. So there is a specific reason why Chatfield is getting games.

if Gaudette was smart he would get a brush cut before the next game and walk in with some army swag
