I hear what you're saying I just don't see many people acting trollish. I see fans that aren't happy with a player and vent their frustration which they're entitled to do. I'm not trying to argue with you over what you said. Mittlestadt tops my list, I was just saying I'd be alright with Petterson too. Definitely not my top choice. I wasn't trying to be negative either, just engaging in some draft conversation with a fellow fan

I like Petterson and Necas so if either were selected at 5, though a very slight reach, I'd be fine with it. He isn't my top choice but I'd be fine with it. I'd love it if we could move Tanev for a first in that range.

I'd prefer Glass of those 2 but wouldn't be totally upset with Petterson. I get where you're coming from though

They get my time and my money, I don't support everything each player or management does. I'm not even killing Jake in these boards, I'm just being realistic. People are being unrealistic with wild claims that he's going to do great things because he's in shape finally. I'm waiting for him to give me reason to jump on his bandwagon but until then if someone says something illogical then I can put my 2 cents in. Oh but he's fit now, and still put up 19 points, wow. Even on a team that isn't offensive that's a major disappointment. No one is righting him off, we're still patiently waiting for him to turn the corner but in a thread about him it's hard to find positives if you take your canucks glasses off for a minute. You can be positive but don't get upset when someone gives you more factual statements on where he's at. If you want all positivity than don't visit a Jake Virtanen thread. Hopefully he turns it around but until then don't be so sensitive to people living an unbiased life.

Yeah I totally agree. I don't like all of his higher picks but he seems to find gems throughout the draft. He's been as good a drafting GM as the organization has had. I'm still not a fan of his yet though haha. He makes too many questionable moves IMO but I don't claim to know everything, just my take

I just think our cupboard isn't near full enough to be trading away picks. I like Villardi just not that much more than the other guys.

If they could make the trade with just taking on one of those goalie contracts I'd be all over it
