  1. Nice little video on Bo during period break today. Didn't know he wears 53 in memory of another player who was drafted to the knights at the same time as him and passed away. Second line at the WJC Camp today as well with Hudon and Mantha.
  2. False Gaunce will be a Utility forward for us in the Top 9. His Smarts will put him ahead of any 4th line spot. Who does Tort's put into the top 6? --- Guys who Process the game at a very high level. What is Gaunce's strength as a hockey player? --- How he processes the game... He's too smart and works too hard to not be in the top 9.
  3. Beastvat. Can't wait for this guy to dominate at the next level, and at WJC
  4. Snubbed on the three stars though. Makes me wonder if he had some rebound goals tonight.
  5. He's a good young prospect, also has been beastly in the playoffs, and when it comes down to it I'd rather have a great playoff performer than a great regular season performer. That's what MG is building.

The is A checkers league for sure.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

Can you imagine if he came over next year and had an impact. Would be craaaazy. If he maintains a point per game at the SHL maybe he would consider coming over to Utica after his SHL season is done. Anyone know if that's even possible? I think he would be able to play for the Comets??
  8. Anyone we trade east will get better, case and point, Grabner, Raymond, frick even Wellwood. I know the Jets are in the West, but it's not the pacific on a daily basis. Half the teams in the top 12 in the league are form the Pacific. I wouldn't be surprised if 6 of the top 10 in the league at the end of the year were from the pacific. Safe to say any player we bring in via trade will probably be worse than where they came from unless it's a pacific teams player.
  9. I think the next thing he can do is dominate World Juniors... Then the OHL playoffs (again) and then the Mem Cup. If he's still got some in the tank maybe even slip into a playoff game for the nucks if we make it.
  10. Horvat will make our third line a lot better next year, and probably make Kassian a better player too.
  11. He does shine on the PK for sure. Couple shots and a couple nice passes.
  12. Wasn't a very exciting game. Horvats cousin had some good moments though. Gauncer was decent, Didn't look that interested in the game to be honest, also had a awkward fall in the middle of the ice that looked like it hurt a bit. Stayed in the game though.
  13. also seeing it's only playing out east...
  14. -1 for HoHo tonight, hope he gets in the christmas spirit and starts dishing out some gifts to his team.
  15. He's 19. Generally men are naturally at their best physical performance level around 22-23, but with training NHL guys prolong that to around 29. Recovery time goes up a bit, but still have similar top ends. Also he should be working on what the Canucks are asking him to, not what other scouts, or coaches say he's bad at. So maybe he's right on track with where our organization has placed him, and skating is something that they are okay with/know it will improve with time... If he was our second or third-line centre this year then we have a beef, fact is he's still 19 and in Junior. Give him some time to DE-VEL-OP.
  16. So who moves up with the twins? and Does Dalpe get third or even second line minuets to start the game?
  17. Gaunce will be fine. He will probably be better not making this team. Just like Corrado last year.
  18. I think the Hurl icanes think they are Boston... Trying to crash the crease and should get punched in the face.
  19. The thing with Bo is He may not put up the numbers other top prospects do, but when he plays those guys he's gonna shut them down, and probably get a point along the way. I can't name many players that on a regular basis shut down the other teams best line and scores 1.5 ppg. I really think the Bergeron comparison will be accurate.
  20. +2 already as well. He's a great junior player, hope it translates to the NHL on a nightly basis.
  21. Anyone know where he played tonight? With McD or his own line? He was a +2 as well.
  22. I don't know if many coaches call out Junior players cause I haven't heard it before, but I'm guessing if Sutter is calling out Gaunce he thinks that there's more for Gaunce to contribute. I tend to think that Gaunce is one of the better players in the OHL and he still has a ton of room to improve. He has so much potential with his size, strength, hockey IQ, shot, passing ability, etc, but he seems to still have so much room to develop. Stoked for him to get a chance at the mem cup this year with Erie.
