2nd or 3rd Round Pick (2012) *Doesn't really matter whether 2nd or 3rd, decent return either way, just a "moving on to other things" type of move*

--------------------------------------

To New York Islanders:

Keith Ballard

To Vancouver:

2nd Round Pick Conditional Pick (2013 - conditions are based on point totals and/or games played)

5th overall, Schenn, and 35th overall. Burke is giving up too much despite Schenn's dissapointing year, he still has potential, and probably has cheaper options for a goalie. Ballard and Raymond for 2nd round picks are also a bit of a stretch too IMO.

Schenn sucks, and if Lu is in TO then their pick will be around the 20th overall mark (with Lu they will make the playoffs), so I really do not like that trade.

And if we could get a 2nd rounder for Ballard or Raymond (a high 2nd rounder at that), I would be in a state of absolute shock. Neither player is worth more than a mid to late 3rd.
