___________________________________________________________

This is the 3rd meeting this season between the Wolves and Stars and each team has one win against eachother so far this season.

Lineup notes: Ebbett didn't make it back from Vancouver in time for this game so he's out....Rodin is back in the lineup after being out with an injury (presumably, not clear on that subject) and Mallet comes out.

Fight! Adam Polasek is making his bid for the Gordie Howe hat trick by picking a fight with Francis Walthier after Walthier sent Stefan Schneider down to the ice with a dirty hit.

Sounds like it was a bit of a draw. Good to see Polasek step in!

Good to see Pinizzotto get in right away. His conditioning stint has officially started.

Hopefully he can be up with the big club sooner than later.

Good to see Rodin back in the lineup, as well as Polasek. Sweatt continues his tear with an assist.

The Wolves are icing a shorthanded lineup tonight, dressing only 11 forwards and the usual 6 defensemen.

Lines:

Sweatt - Longpre - Haydar

Archibald - Friesen - Davies

Pinizzotto - Schneider - Rodin

DiDiomete and Miller are being subbed in here and there.

Joslin - Andersson

Matheson - Connauton

Vandermeer - Polasek

Climie

A couple defense breakdowns here by the Wolves, and now a fight. This time it's Longpre who took exception to a bad elbow to the face of his defenseman Mark Matheson and challenged Stars defenseman Hubert Labrie.

The commentators just took another look at the hit and it actually appears like it was a solid shoulder check on Matheson, not a vicious elbow like they originally thought. No penalties on the play, except the fighting majors.

I'm trying to figure it all out. AGAIN, the Wolves commentators have proved quite unhelpful. They quickly run through the list of scratches and don't bother to indicate who are healthy scratches and who are injured and what those injuries are. Never any details with these guys. On top of that, the Wolves website sucks. No game story at all and no mention of Pinizzotto getting back in the lineup. I found that out by looking at the boxscore on the AHL website. Pretty shoddy for such a storied AHL franchise.
