It's a lot more idiot proof if you're just starting out. Well as long as you don't wait to long, you should be able to purchase from the same line later on. Not a bad idea to buy at least the front three speakers at the same time though as they're more critical to be matched. Of course these days you also have Atmos etc to worry about. I always tell my friends that are starting out to get a decent stereo system to start with a sub. And then slowly save up for the centre and surrounds. They never listen and end up getting a home theatre in a box while trying to fill a big living room at the same time. Then they ask why the sound is so crappy. Gotta get the basics right first before getting fancy. Now's there's Dolby Atmos which I'm still not sure about, but would love to demo it one day.
