qwijibo
Seattle built their team with a long term game plan in mind. They passed up older more talented players with short contracts I. Favour of young guys wth size. I don’t see the logic in them trading for a guy that’s UFA after next season. Also what are the conditions in the pick,? And why 2024? Also what are the conditions in the pick,? And why 2024? Seattle has been in on every big name. They still want to compete as quick as possible and adding Miller in to Eberle, Gourde, Schwartz (who are doing almost all of the heavy lifting at forward, would immensely help them). Plus they have a lot of cap space and will probably extend Miller right away. The young players you refer to that they would not want to move are V.Dunn, H.Fleury, J.McCann, M.Geekie, N.Bastian, J.Daccord.. and then drafting Matthew Beniers and Ryker Evans with their top picks. The condition on the 2024 1st is Miller re-signing with Seattle otherwise it becomes a 2nd. 2024 because we’ve given up high picks back to back to back now and need to retain our 2022 2nd and 2023 7th. Give a high pick in 2024 away instead. The 2023 draft is the Connor Bedard one. Don’t want to risk trading that one!

I keep saying, IF we were to do a trade, it has to be from a position we're deep at, which is RW. Miller right now, is one of our top 2 centers. IF we were to do a trade, it has to be from RW, which means Boeser as he can be replaced on the right side by Garland, Podkolzin and Hoglander. Not sure why you have Hoglander, the hottest stick on the team, on the 4th line by the way, doesn't make much sense

Miller is the one screaming at Hoglander and turning into a locker room problem when things don’t go well. He needs to be moved for value. Podkolzin can play both wings.
