Canucks to celebrate Pride Night on Friday vs. Flames
on the cycle replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
I wasn't alive then lol. I really just don't like politics in sports, sports used to be a unifying escape but not anymore. Politics is everywhere and there is no escape, wish everyone would just shut up and watch hockey. -

Religion isn't really a BS excuse. Would you say the same about a Muslim? It's called tolerance not acceptance. You don't have to agree, if he said something rude or mean spirited then sure he should be criticized. -

Same. I just don't really like politics in sports or people shoving their beliefs in people's faces. I don't really get telling the world about your sexual interests, nobody really cares anyway. If we were really progressive it would just be a non issue. -
Jeremy Welsh next?

I kept saying that we should have re-signed Bo and traded Miller for a young high end defenceman but instead we re-signed him for some reason I can't comprehend. -
I'm so disgusted by any advertising on uniforms. I don't care that much about helmets but when you look back at historical moments it's really gross if you see an advertisement. I'm all for capitalism but this is too far. I'm so sick of ads.

Wonder if Washington tries to sign him to replace Backstrom. -

Pettersson really didn't do nearly enough in this game. No goals or assists.....or even a shootout goal with the game on his stick. Had far too many turnovers and looked pretty bad on the powerplay. Soo many chances to win with a 2-0 lead to start. It is such a Canucks thing to lose a crucial game to a bottom feeder. I wouldn't be that upset if it were Minnesota or Calgary.....but Ottawa?! FFS. -

Went to the game feels like a waste of time and money. At least my girlfriend had fun. -
[Signing] Oilers sign Evander Kane

I wouldn't call retroactively punishing teams for moves that were perfectly acceptable under the confines of the previous CBA because the league was embarrassed "defending the integrity of the CBA". If the NHL wants teams to adhere to certain rules the should do a better job of constructing a coherent well thought out CBA instead of being vindictive because they were outwitted by a creative, competent management team. Lawrence Gilman ftw. -
uhhhh......not one team other than us offered more than 4 years though. $6M would have been acceptable if it was for 4 years but definitely not 6, especially when there really wasn't much of a bidding war.

The Toffoli and Sutter trades were clear losses. Sutter wasn't even better than Bonino and we let Toffoli walk. Every trade Benning made was to rush the rebuild along. Even the futures he got back were squandered. For someone who talked an awful lot about drafting and acquiring pick he sure didn't play into that "strength". FFS.
