  1. Chose to watch Die Hard instead of watching the game. Made the right choice.
  2. In 60 years, Benning will have signed his 31st extension as GM, with Aqua still being alive hooked up to some life extender-thingy stating "I trust Jim and I believe in his 42nd 2-year plan". Also, Green is extended to another 4 years and is entering his 66th season as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks.
  3. If it wins us a cup, I am on board with disgracing the sport. We already are right now anyway.
  4. In all seriousness, they actually didn't play that bad, they probably should have had this game. However, this is a team with Horvat, Boeser and Pettersson on it in 2021.
  5. Podkolzin has a wife at 20?! :o I haven't even had a gf lol

Good sign for his maturity, and at least he's unlikely to spend too much time partying.

We’re in the same boat Jam. I don’t have one yet either. I’m currently going to school. How about yourself?

  6. If you can't be the best, might as well be the worst. Do what's right for Shane Wright.
  7. It looks like we're back to being "a team like that".

  8. McDavid is very stoppable, all you have to do is have him play lower seeded teams in the playoffs.
  9. Some people are saying that this team is "not very good". I am under no illusion that this team is very good or a cup contender, but we surely have a better roster compared to teams like Detroit, Anaheim, and even Nashville. The alarming thing about this team is not that they are necessarily losing, it is how they lose. They look tired and it doesn't even look like they know what they're doing most of the time. It is strange that all of a sudden our star players like Boeser and Pettersson turn into pumpkins. Also, why are our special teams WORSE than last year? At least they seem to be. This looks like a mental toughness and coaching issue.
  10. Alright dude, cool it with the gender studies rhetoric.
  11. I remember thinking back when Green was hired that he would be a transition coach, and that when his contract expired we would hire an experienced "win now" coach because our rebuild would be over. Now, he was extended... I remember Randy Carlyle was extended, then was fired the next season.
  12. Remember when Green was only supposed to be a transition coach? And everybody agreed that when his 4 years were up that we were going to get an experienced coach because our rebuild would be finished?

  13. Uhhhhh, he literally is the most productive player on the team bud. A lot of times, a pink slip reflects how a coach is performing...
  14. This is what is really frustrating... This team is built to be an offensive possession team that can score 3-5 goals a night. Under Green's system, they play the same dump and chase strategy that he has been using since he got here. It is acceptable to use that system when the team is bad like in 2017, but now with a team that actually has a potent forward group he does not adjust. The defense hasn't looked as bad as I thought but that can be because Demko and Halak have done very well. Anyway, the problem right now is not the talent, I think this is a pretty decent team, it should at least be a WC team. The problem is between the ears and the coaching.
  15. Hmmmm, maybe if there was some sort of exhibition period to prepare for this...
