  1. It’s so very quiet in Vancouver for speculation news.. almost feels like the shoe will drop with 3-4 announcements
  2. You know ,. A PTO .. might not be out of the question.. that would be up to Tryamkin. I really can’t appreciate his Agent. Needs to go GoldStar
  3. This manager will get the best out of the prospects pool, because they will create opportunities.. I like that.
  4. For me. I’m hopeful NT gets the opportunity to prove that he was mishandled terribly by this franchise by returning for a single year to prove cit. The organization is far more prepared to make that happen. a single 1 year show me.
  5. Soucy wont be available at 2m or under , I see Mayfield only as heavy presence/ fighter, not any different than Gudbranson. I don’t think either has better potential than they already have shown in the NHL .. Soucy , could perhaps be a top pairing if handled right.. should some bright spots with h the Kraken. I’d be surprised if he dosent stay there.
  6. No , I’ve had this same opinion about this player since watching him at the WJrz years ago. There are others in our present prospect pool of D that I see as complimentary top 4 d men as well. It dosent happen over night, it’s a process. Woolanin, Juulsen, Petterson , Kirill Kudryavtsev, Filip Johansson, Viktor Perrsson, Jurmo, and Cole McWard. It wasn’t hard to see Tryamkins potential in his game when he was here, and ALLOWED to play. I watch many Canuck prospects, Tryamkin is not the only one . I hold no one on a pedestal, but I shine light on their potential, and hope they all rise to fair opportunity. Fair opportunity dosent always exist in the NHL.. but that can be the case in many orgs.
  7. Your disgruntled by this player? .. you complain about him enough. .. it’s nice to see he has this effect on you
  8. .. and yes,. @canuck73_3, weed stinks. Tryamkin nailed it !
  9. Funny statement, I saw him play 79 games, and heard the GM offer him a 2m x 2 contract as his RFA / deal.
  10. You bought into WD ‘s BS with the “shape” comments huh? Long live Willy D.
  11. .. at this point in time , I’m more interested to see if the KHL operates next season given the situational involvement and instability in RuZ
  12. Very quiet. If he isn’t signed in the first 2 weeks of July , I doubt he’s back in the NHL.… but hey, it’s hockey.
  13. Just your opinion again,. I’ve explained what could have been a better situation for this player. I’ll stand by my opinion that with more NHL experience and proper handling, this player is a top 4 pairing D man. NOT the top player on the pairing, but the perfect complimentary player of the top 2 pairings.
  14. Why should a rookie player of 21 years old , coming to a foreign country by request of a team that drafted him, know who , what, where , when and why about anything. He came to an organization that was not prepared for him other than to throw him on the ice with a Coach that never spoke to him. Mental gymnastics? Its about “handling”. on the other hand you have Kuzmenko, who came with his father, who is a hockey trainer, and to a team with Podz Klimo, Mihkey , Gonchar and Yogi on it.. and because he was on a 1 year contract, was given every opportunity to perform. Playing with too 6 players. Tryamkin was worthy of the same opportunity. ”absolve”? Maybe if someone showed him or told him what was expected , expectations would have been understood, and lived up to. The Canucks were a train wreck of a team at this point in time.. it would have been better to be giving their best / better prospects like Tryamkin, as much opportunity and development than playing the likes of Sbisa Larsen Gudbranson and Biegga . Would have been the perfect time to tank. Yes, I think the responsibility of the franchise to develop and “culturize” NT into the NHL was almost non existent. Even then Yogi , who has been in Vancouver for decades working with the Giants , could have been utilized and set up to work with Nik. The man is World Class.
  15. Name his coaches before he arrived to the NHL, and tell me where they are now. I’ll sadly give credit to Bill Peters who gave NT more opportunities than any other Coach he has had,. but that’s about it. The “out of shape” comment first came from WD , who rather than keep it in he room and work with Nik, was a comment he took to the media . Desjardins tried to leverage his comments to break Tryamkins contract (a one way) , to send NT to Utica.. he pressed Benning on it. We all remember that coverage. Benning called a meeting to get to the bottom of it.. Diamond Tryamkin Desjardins Benning, and I’m sure other assistant staff. Tryamkin had already played 10 games, quite well actually, begining of the 2017 season. but there were many games Nik sat , while others played. The season had already started and Desjardins said basically he’s out of shape he needs to go to the minors like any body else in North America. Tryamkin and Diamond stated, his stats are better than regulars in the line up, Sbisa Larsen Gudbranson and Biegga . and besides that Nik has a one way contract, so why is this an issue , I’m training while I’m not playing , and I’m waiting / ready to get on the ice after the meeting Benning agreed with what Tryamkins camp was saying. Theres always been this misconception with the timing of this happening and a clip of Tryamkin gassed for air on a shift, but it was a shift that almost went 4 minutes, icings included, in the 2nd period. ( long change). The other one was when he first arrived to this city , within the same week his KHL season ended , after 23 hrs of flight times to get out of RuZ. He arrived to his hotel in Vanciuver at 3am pst, and voluntarily attended his first practice at 6 or 7 am. The kid, 21 years old from a foreign nation, first time in N.A, was mishandled from the get go, Desjardins was interviewed about him, and says he dosent talk to him , he tries to get te Sedins do it. I give more credit to any player in these circumstances, Vs the way WD handled the situation. after that meeting, and season , Desjardins was fired . Tryamkin was offer a 2 x 2m contract,. But Bennings timming again was slow and pathetic.
  16. “This is clearly yet another situation where you twist statements in your own head, much like you calling me "judgemental" before (which you didn't even bother trying to justify with a reply once I called you out).” Lol, I think I called you out for not telling truth or full story, which your totally unaware of, it goes with your lack of interest with this player, which you openly stated. My apologies if I’m not paying too much attention to what you say,. perhaps I’m not really interested in you.. or your posts . Making sense requires truth,. Not what you quoted about this player. Perhaps it’s truth that dosent make sense to you, your emotional fortitude to stand by a headline statement is admirable, but not truth.
  17. ^^^ again, he did come to N/A to sign with the Canucks , Benning did not , could not sign him. Tryamkin went back to the KHL after waiting weeks for Benning to open a spot. Tryamkin went because It was getting late to even find a roster/ job in he KHL, What you said omits that key point , and does not leave the truth to the full story. Quite frankly I’m happier to see how you and others like @canuck73_3 play “helicopters” with each other’s statements Lol! whatever your fancy is , .
