The Alchemist
Yes, it is ALL about the lines. Can I make this more clear? Polamalu is a good player, but you always want to have the most talent on the line. Take a fantasy football-style team ("skill position" players) of AP, Brady, Moss, Andre Johnson and Jason Witten (or whoever) and put them behind a crappy line, that team ain't goin nowhere. Look at the best running backs of the last couple of years. LT in San Diego, AP in Minnesota, Alexander in 05, all dominating OLines. The Patriots have had one of the best lines for most of this decade. Look, they've had success! Sorry for the rant, but this is something that many people still don't seem to understand. Bernie Brewer
Totally agree. Have you read The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis? It talks about the importance of the offensive and defensive lines, particularly the left tackle position.

Iron_Gland
Anyone know why Shaw is only showing one game in the morning (Cinci vs Packers) and two at 1? Are the rules changing or are no decent games being played? Last week there were 3-4 games per time slot....

gmen81
If we are going to talk about players ripping it up, look no further then Chris Johnson of Tennessee. Just had a 91 yard touchdown run. So far he has 9 carries for 179 yards and 2 tds, also has 8 receptions for 91 yards and a TD.
