Hello Commissioner,

As October 1st is fast approaching and the member clubs need to fillout their rosters and prospect lists, what is the official date / time of the beginning of the UFA signing period?

I was under the inpression it would be October 1st? say 12:01am EST? is that correct?

I think I've filled out the defensive categories okay (Fisher, Brown, and my defensive defensemen), but my points production, especially on the powerplay may not be up to scratch. I just found out Jiri Hudler is gonna be on the third line, so I'm thinking of dropping him and Jarret Stoll. Which gives me 2 forward spots. I need some advice on which of the following would be best:

Nick Foligno

Lee Stempniak

Magnus Paajarvi

Tyler Bozak

Milan Michalek

Brad Boyes

Mike Comrie

Peter Regin

Right now I'm leaning towards either Versteeg and Foligno, or Foligno and Paajarvi... Thoughts?

Personally I would take Michalek over all of those guys.

Foligno or Michalek, MPS/Versteeg will give you good point production, but will kill you with +/- . If Ryan Callahan is available, he's a pool MONSTER in this format, I had him last year and he was one of the top hitters in the league.Key stats to dominate an ESPN pool - hits/PIM/+/-/Goals. If you can convince your buddies to, try to get marleau. He's a monster as well

So you mean 9:01pm on Thursday Sept. 30 PST? I'm hoping that you mean 12:01PM EST, which is noon, so 9am on the West Coast.

Versteeg might decent, and a guaranteed 1st line, 1st unit PP player, even though its a Leafs' not-so-top-topline. I don't think his =/- will be that poor. The Leafs tending can't be as bad as last year, and whats his nuts should be healthy on D for the Leafs which 'should' help...oh yeah, Komisarik.At any rate, looks like a shallow pool if those guys are all still available. If something doesn't work out, there will be other guys available. So don't bill-sweat it.

If Comrie can find his form, he'll be playing with Malkin or Crosby and will be one of Pittsburgh more talented wingers..

He means right when Ocotber 1st comes basically from the east coast perspective because i believe that Canuckk lives in Quebec
