Just found a funny clip apx 9 years old from the WC 2003.

Nicklas Jensens dad, Dan Jensen, played for Denmark against Canada that year and he scored to 1-1 in the game that ended 2-2. Quite a milestone for Denmark and their debut in the best group. A couple of days earlier we had beaten a very bad team USA 5-2, but the game against Canada was our real debut in terms of opposition. Looking at the Team Canada roster I still cant believe how we got a tie. Luongo, Doan, Reinprecht, Briere etc were on the Canadian team and all Denmark had was players from european clubs and a young Frans Nielsen that was still a couple of years away from the NHL.

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

Jensen's scoring play @ 3:02.

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

It's too bad Jensen can't play in the AHL next season, cause he seems like he's ready.

Maybe he's closer to making the NHL than we thought though.

Awesome

Edit: Holy crap. Parent is alive. (I've got to start paying more attention to the Wolves)

Nicklas Jensen recorded a hat trick with the Wolves in a 4-2 over the Peoria Rivermen.

Congratulations, Nicklas!

So annoying he can't play for the wolves next year. He is clearly ready for that league. It's almost not worth it to rush him into the show though.

If his first 6 games as a pro are any indication, he seems like the kind of player that would actually thrive more in the pros with competent surrounding players than in junior. He plays for a pretty mediocre Oshawa Generals team that doesn't possess any good playmakers to get him the puck. Now he's playing for a pretty good Wolves team and he has 4 goals, including a hat trick, in only 6 career games.

Remember also that he was one of the last cuts in preseason for the Canucks, despite having been just drafted a couple months prior. We may be seeing now that there was really something to that.

It's nice to see that Jensen can already do what most of the Canucks NHL'ers can't: Shoot the puck into an empty net from center ice, and actually score.

Their not considered "Stack" in comparison to the top 2 AHL teams, that being said, if the Canucks get eliminated early, (lets hope not) they will get Kassian and Tanev back which will be huge.

Would probably be really good for Kass too who hasn't seen much ice lately.

Jensen - Reinprecht - Kassian??!?

Silver lining I guess.

Yeah man, definitely sweet that he scored a hat trick for the Wolves. I'm not sure when he'll be eligible to play in the AHL though...

^ He'll be eligible to play full time in the AHL beginning in the 2013-14 season.

Great to see a hat trick from him!

For next year? I don't think the rules allow for that though, I'm sure there's a written agreement somewhere about it.

For next year, yes. Don't like the idea that he's going to spend another year in OHL.

I know that he cannot be sent to a minor pro league like the AHL next year unless he has already played four seasons of junior hockey. He must either stay on the NHL roster or return to junior. But there are some exceptions for players arriving from Europe. And do any of you know where to find these exceptions?

Hey the kid's looking all right. I'm glad he fell down to us on draft day.

I really hate the age restriction BS in the AHL.
AHL would be the perfect fit for him next year.
