Patrick Sharp doesn't belong on that list...

Patrick Sharp belongs on the Canucks not on that list.

Loui Eriksson is a pretty good comparable I'd say. And that's fantastic

Agreed Id love me a Loui Eriksson on this team.

Loui Eriksson might be closer, with Jensen being a little less agile and gritty but having a better shot. Reasonable comparison though, and we'll see how he's developed as we get to see more of him (hopefully soon!).

@TysonGiuriato: Jensen had one assist, three shots and was plus-1 in 14:10 TOI. Tommernes had three shots in a team-high 26:03 TOI #Canucks #Elitserien

Ive seen jensen play a few games now and I'd say he looks like somwhere between Patrik Hörnquist and Mikael Samuelsson. Though i understand the Louie Ericsson comparison too.

'And on a previous discussion I too believe him to be able to play with the Sedins eventually. not like Burrows but the way Sammy did. Given a couple of years of developing that is.

I thought jensen was a first liner on his team, why is he only getting 14 minutes TOI?

looked like he was demoted a little due to the signing of kristian Huselius and Kris Beech. His line got what ice time they deserved. Jensen was too invicible for large parts of the game. They also played alot shorthanded in the second period with jensen not on PK. And only one PP in the game

invisible as in he wasn't doing much? Or because they were short handed too much?

kris beech and Huselius, dirty laundry players I tell ya.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

sorry about that. The answer is "both". His playing style consists of him trying to find areas wich to shoot from (wich he does very well). He is not carrying the puck alot so when the rest of his line doesnt playmake him to score he is not very noticable. Brett Hull wants Adam Oates :)

Saying a player reminds you of another player doesn't mean that they will be as good, it just means that they're similar in playing styles. I wouldn't expect you to understand that based on your previous posts though.

And that's why I was leery of saying anything in the first place, because of morons like that.

Nice assist today for Jensen in AIK's 2-1 win.

Assist starts at 1:36. Jensen comes in from the point and makes a nice lateral movement into the slot, before making a pass to the side of the net for a tap in for Beech.

Not nearly hard enough. Nobody we sign now should be anything less than "a guy who can back his plays and step in and make a pugilistic contribution"

Clowe? ...yes Perry? .....yes Kane?....yes ......Players in that vein.

Eriksson? Great if we didn't already have the twins but no not now.

Instead of punching you while holding a roll of nickels, he'll do it while holding stack of cash. It doesn't hurt as much physically but it breaks you down mentally.

AV would have Keith Ballard ahead of E. Kane on the Canucks' depth chart at LW.

OMG we could've had McKeown!

I think Virtanen was a terrible pick given that he's out for 6 months which will hinder his development. You don't pick someone at #6 under that circumstance, along with the fact that he was given a 3/5 IQ (aka he's dumb).

God dammit Benning. WHY VIRTANEN? Terrible move.

Down by the River - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

Yup, I seriously question his willingness to be a top player and good teammate after hearing so many things about him. Unless being in Don Hay's backyard is going to make him fall in line, I've switched to the side that regardless of his skill he isn't worth it.

Granted, if Winnipeg wants to give him up for not much in return, I'd think about it. In the meantime I'll stick with who we have, Jensen and Kassian coming up, Booth and Burrows already here, and Higgins, Hansen, etc. supporting them as top 9 forwards.

Evander Kane would be a massive pick-up. Put up 30 goals and 57 points in the NHL as a 20 year old.
I would trade a lot to get Kane to line up beside Ryan Kesler and Zack Kassian.

Jensen was -1 with no points, 5 shots and 17:39 of ice time for AIK in a 4-3 win over Rogle BK yesterday. His next game is on Boxing Day against the Sedins' old team, MODO Hockey.

He had a goal waived off for 'kicking it in', the call wasn't very solid.

That's what I heard. Shame. The important thing is we know he pretty much scored, whether he got credit for the goal or not.

Jensen - Jenner - Kassian

If Gaunce works on his skating and becomes a higher end skater like Jenner is we won't have to worry about trading for him :P

I take it you didn't see the highlight of Jenner's late hit in the Can/Swe WJC game yesterday morning. Jenner is a good player, no doubt, and I'm not saying to insinuate he's dirty, but that was his only memorable moment of the two warmup games as he was largely ineffective and with Canada already having only 1 forward that game, it wasn't particularly a smart play.

I think he'll find a spot in the NHL, but his recent offensive production in Junior has led some people to overrate him. He's still a 3rd line center in the NHL in my mind, perhaps with he ability to fill in on the 2nd line if he continues to improve, but not someone I'd envision being a future linemate for Jensen and Kassian unless those two don't live up to expectations (reasonable ones, not the overhyped ones).

Doubt you'd say that if he was a Canuck prospect.

I think Jenner has pretty good potential to be a good 2nd line center and a safe bet to be an NHL 3rd line center.

Curious as to how you project Gaunce, who is a poor man's Jenner. 4th liner with 3rd line potential?

IMO Gaunce is a 3rd liner with 2nd line potential - less than Jenner though.
