He should have stayed another year in the OHL. Funny how he thought he was too good for juniors when he couldn`t even dominate it in his draft +1 year in juniors.

CHL is the best development league in the world for people who want to play in the NHL This kid is mentally weak

Agreed.

There is absolutely no reason why I SHOULD be watching him. His stats speak for themselves.

First of all, Stuart and Ferriero are not prospects. I don't give a rats ass about them. Archibald just add's to the sad state that our prospects are in over there because his stats are pretty underwhelming as well.

Second, sorry. 7 goals in 52 AHL games. Amazing.

Third, he should have been ready to play AHL after spending a year in the SEL TWO F'ING years ago. For some reason he's either not good enough for NA hockey, or he's screwed up in the head.

I don't need to waste my time watching him play in Utica, because I can see for the past 2 years he has been awful and there has been no real trend upwards.

Then stop commenting. The rest of us holding out hope for the kid don't really need to or desire to hear your "expert opinion"

That's nice, if ya don't care to bother watching him, don't bother to comment in the thread about him since you've already made up your mind about him.

Let's focus on the battle for scoring supremacy between Jensen and Alexandre Mallet. That's goin' down to the wire, mark my words.

Lol I think Dangler is more likely to find himself in a 96 than a 69.

Never said he should be sent down to the ECHL. Don't put words in my mouth.

That being said yes I am concerned in his lack of productivity/effort this season.

Does that song have some sort of meaning?

Why is everyone hating on Dangler. Just because his opinion isn't the same as yours or one you don't want to hear doesn't mean his has any less credibility. All he's said is that Jensen is struggling and his chances of making the NHL are becoming slim which if you look at the stats for how many first round picks become quality NHL players there is a chance he is right.

and FYI i think Jensen will become a solid player for us on the big club maybe just not that 30 goal scorer top 6 forward everyone projected him to be.

If only the city of Kalamazoo had some sort of significance in regards to the Vancouver Canucks.
What could it be?

Being a 1st hand fan, and speaking from the experience of watching Jensen play, I am going to cut him some slack for his lackluster performance. I know he has been in the system for awhile, but this year his performance has been altered by conditions beyond his control. He is playing on a 1st year team, in a new city, surrounded by new faces and playing under a new coach. It's hard for coach Green to get this guy to perform because of consistent line changes and call-ups. I know, he should be able to adapt, but I can see why he can't.

Getting preferential treatment just because he's a 1st rounder. Any other player as bad as him would have been sent down to echl to work on their game

would you look at that, it wasn't dangler that claimed he should be in the echl...it was his dupe lol

It won't get any easier with Fox, Gaunce and Shinkaruk all coming in next for certain, while Labate also maybe coming in next season as well. (Labate originally said he planned to play 3 years in NCAA before turning pro, there hasn't really been any update lately on what his plans are).

That's a lot of guys coming in that can push him down the organizational depth chart. He really needs to have a strong second half and summer/training camp in the fall or he really could plummet quite a bit.

He's still too young to call a bust and there's been a lot of circumstances that can be blamed on his inability to perform. You could honestly compare what has happened to Jensen to what has happened to the youngsters in Edmonton. Jensen has played under like 4 or 5 different coaches (Junior coach, SEL coach, AV+Torts(training camp+exhibition games) , Green, MacT and Arneil) in the last 3 or 4 years. Similar to what has happened with the HC job in Edmonton and a lot of people are now starting to say all the coaching changes have really effected their development from great prospects into bonafide superstars and more like great prospects into good NHLers

Hopefully, by next season, coach will have a system in place and the team will have had a season together, so they will be used to each other. Seeing the "new faces" in Utica may make Jensen realize that it's time to produce or get left behind. It may make him more of a leader instead of a follower, which may be just what he needs.
