Mervyn Peake Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Not to beat a dead horse. But Pittsbugh has Crosby, Malkin, and Staal. Probably three of the best centres in the league. Oddly enough, they won a cup, and no one, and I mean NO ONE talked about ice time among the three of them. Maybe the Canucks just could only handle one centre with a big ego, two was just asking too much. Or that's just Canucks spin-doctoring. Either way, what's done is done. The real issue is Kesler needs to have his ice time monitored. If he had it his way he'd play every shift. That kind of commitment is great. But it also leads to injuries. I hope in the playoffs Pahlsson and perhaps Lapierre can take some of the load off of Kesler so he can be more effective, and less exposed to injury. And Kesler is playing poorly because he's so consumed by his own body image that it's messing with his head and on ice play????? I really hope this is a late April fools joke.
