Even Hasek and Roy haven't done that. Hasek and Roy were just plain amazing and accomplished a lot in their careers, especially Roy. They both won the stanley cup, they both won numerous numerous vezina trophy. Roy won the conn smythe once and hasek won the hart trophy once with 3 nominations. Luongo is ok but not in the same league as these two. Back then, in their context, high scoring games were the norm due to pads, goalie style etc. This doesn't take away from the achievement though. Just statistical speaking, he is better. YaK Posted April 9, 2012 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Luongo has the potential to steal a game... but he also has the potential to lose it. I get the same feeling watching Kevin Bieksa. The guy can be a real difference maker, good or bad. The concern shouldn't be whether Luongo is a great goaltender or not, it is which Luongo will show up.
