[Pgt] Kings 4, Canucks 2

How many ways can you give away a game and yet actually have a chance to win the game.

It's a matter of simple math - opposing team gets more shots = more chances to win.

A frustrating game to watch when you see a Kings team that is supposed to be 2nd to last in scoring getting more chances to score than the Canucks.

Bonehead plays - two pucks over the glass, pass up the middle by Edler, poorly timed hit by Bitz and next thing you know Kings have two 5 on 3s and a 5 minute major. You can do that in a regular season game, but not in a playoff game where you have win now not later.

Enough passing on the powerplay. Just get a couple guys in front of the net and shoot from the point and hope for a deflection. The pretty passes are nice, but generally it's not how they score on the PP. IF they had scored on the PP with about 5 minutes to go in the 3rd, the game would have been over, but instead no PP goal and the Kings score on a bad Edler pass up the middle.

Mentally they have to get in the game - give more energy but play smarter. They should be able to score more goals than the Kings, so why are they chasing the Kings all over the ice?

Good to see Luongo play well, disappointed he didn't get much support.

Scoring doesn't need to come in volume, but a goal or two from the 1st or 2nd line and the game is over.

After sleeping on it I think the scariest part of that game was the fact it showed our mortality. We have somewhat had the expectation we are going to contend this year, and it showed LA is all but capable of beating us which is a huge ego shock.

We had a horrible game last night. We had soo many penalties, many of them stupid. I don't know if we can say that is the best LA has to offer and our worst but it showed we are going to have to play harder and adjust our tactics. Series is very achievable, I think we win on Friday.

Only game 1. Did anyone think it was going to be easy? Every other team is more balanced now and tough tough competition is to be expected. But if canucks don't show up big-time in upcoming games, 1st round exit can be next week! Granted, LA were full marks for their effort and looked like legit contenders.

The tone has been set and game 2 should be interesting.

Good things. Last year we never trails in any series. That will test the Canucks character. Boston came back from 0-2 vs montreal and played 2 games 7 before the stanley cup finals.

If Canucks wants to win the cup they need to face/overcame adversity. They won't steamroll anyone this year. Every win, will be tough.
