They need that 5th pick so they can draft Galchenyuk

I added Schroeder. Burke loves his Americans.

haha that he does. That makes the deal fair for both sides. I still dont think Raymond is worth anything but it is still fair with or without him.

Not goona lie, this is probably one of the best proposals I have ever seen on CDC

Finally! LOL

I more developed center for the Maple Leafs AND a franchise goalie, plus Vancouver gets a high pick back from Toronto to develop a another center with higher potential.

Who would you rather have? - Tanev or Galchenyuk?

Pretty solid trade. It'd be even sweeter if we sign Justin Schultz afterwards to replace Tanev.

The other option is take out Raymond from the deal, and insert a B level prospect or 2013 3rd/4th round draft pick.

I also find it funny that when someone posts a proposal and someone likes it, it doesn't gather as much attention as a proposal that isn't as good lol

Not just my proposals, but a lot of others.

The Leafs need a #1 center more than they need Luongo. They will hang onto the 5th to draft one of Grigs/Galy, both of whom have the potential to be #1 centers for whoever who drafts them, Schroeder is not that.

Me likey

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Booth - Galchenyuk - Kesler
MacArthur - Pahlsson - Higgins
Kassian - Lapierre - Hansen

Edler - Franson
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Connauton - Salo/UFA

Schneider
Lack

Me really likey

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

I bed to differ.

Since the lockout, the Leafs have never had a goalie who can post numbers remotely close to 2.50 GAA and .915 SV%

They've always hovered around 3.0 GAA and .900 SV% (Since Belfour)

They need a goalie. Big time!

Yes and you can get a goalie in UFA. How often does a #1 center end up in free agency. They havent had a #1 center since Mats Sundin, and they have tried like a 100 different guys at center.

They need a center. Big time! :P

True as well. Maybe they can swing a trade for Getzlaf while they're at it or something lol

They've got a lot of good prospects.

I'm not saying I agree with the trade but understand that Toronto was arguably one solid 1A goalie away from making playoffs last year. I think their need for a goalie outweighs the want for a 5th overall pick
