Vansicle
Seattle Lattes Seattle Soccer Moms Seattle QuasiIntellectuals Seattle Tree Huggers Seattle Ferries But seriously, Metros or Totems. It has to have tradition. Metropolitans is a little like NY Knickerbackers. Just abbreviate it NY Knicks/Seattle Metros. Or Totems.

Roflcawptur
Also, is anyone disgusted by the idea of a team called the "Totems"? Cause instead of the 'yotes we would have the Totes. And thats horrid.

canucklax
I was talking about shortend, endearing terms. Such as the Nucks or the Yotes. And that was pretty rude of you to call my suggestions garbage.
GLASSJAW
could you imagine if the Coyotes had a "YOTES" jersey, like the embarrassingly stupid "SENS" shirts out there lmao

Salmonberries
Seattle Totems, the Canucks' long-time rivals in the WHL. They have so much history together that it would only seem natural to bring back the Totems. The team tried multiple times to become a part of the NHL only to be halted by various obstacles. The third-highest point scorer in professional hockey history, Guyle Fielder, spent much of his career with the Totems and represented them as the WHL's six-time MVP and nine-time leading scorer. It's only natural for them to bring the Totems to the NHL.
avelanch
i love the totems name, but the guy who currently owns the name is a giant dick and he'd probably sue, or require them pay him royalties. Seattle Sasquatch, or just simply, the Seattle Squatch would be a great name.
