CRAZY_4_NAZZY
You sure Weise isn't playing in some Dutch Beer league? Cause that is ridiculous numbers for a fourth liner, but then again MG did say that Weise was more than just a fist a cuff player and actually had some hockey sense. Hope this lockout is opening to his hockey soul.
surtur
Definitely. Weise had .80 points per game in the AHL as a 22 year old. Not too Shabby. 28 goals as a 21 year old -- probably would of broke 30 had he not missed any games. I think the last Canucks prospects to have those kinds of numbers were Grabner and Kesler. Obviously Weise will not be as offensively gifted as they are at the NHL level but he should still be an effective player now and down the road. Just give him more time to develop and legitimate minutes during the game.
Guest Gumballthechewy
why can he not end up putting up points like Kesler or grabner. just because he gets mostly 4th line minutes does not make him a 4th liner for life.

Everybody Hates Raymond
Seems doubtful. I don't think he was ever projected to be an offensive guy to begin with and those projections tend to hold true
Guest Gumballthechewy
To be fair, we've seen flashes of brilliance that he's failed to finish on before from Weise. I'd like to think he could be Mason Raymond 2.0 given the chance.
UFCanuck
Burrows only had 9 points in his 1st full NHL season at 25 years of age. People probably thought he was a 4th liner/AHL'er for the rest of his career. Weise is developing into a monster as we speak.
CookieCrumbs
I don't know why, but there's something about the guy I just don't like. He bugs me. I guess I'll have to get over this if he's going to end up a staple in the Canucks line up night in and night out.
