UMB
As someone who doesn't follow baseball that closely, can someone tell me what makes reyes so impressive? His stats don't look that impressive to me, but he's a $100m ss?
Tony Romo
Is Anthony gose inviolved in the deal? I've heard he is, but I really hope he's not

Garrison
Don't know any of these players? Can't be that big seeing as the casual baseball fan doesn't know them.

iLLmAtlc
Holy. This is amazing, 3 all-star calibre players added to the major league roster and the only ones taken off were Escobar and Alvarez. You never really want to give up prospects but I think we have to consider what the Jays were able to keep. When I saw the list of players they were getting I thought for sure one of Lawrie, Rasmus or D'Arnaud would have to go, but NOPE. AA does it again! PowerIce
The trade looks pretty one sided, but this is a pretty big cap dump for Miami. I'll take this deal all day long. Just what we needed, solid SP. Just need to beat the injury bug this year, patten up that bullpen a bit too. And be consistent. Which is usually too much to ask for. I was reading about the new salary cap for the Jays & it said to be around $130m. That's a $30m+ jump!
Markus Alexander Cody
Even then, with the AL East being such a tough division, I'm doubting they barely make the playoffs but I'm hoping they do. Not a baseball fan but at least I know who Jose Reyes and Mark Buerhle is. Only know Buerhle because of his perfect game in 2010 from the White Sox? And I know John Buck used to play for the Jays right? see I ain't that bad for someone who doesn't even follow baseball
