I'd be celebrating if I hit Eager too.

He was trying to get the crowd into it really.

If you watch his interviews, the kid is the furthest thing from arrogant...seth jones on the other hand saying his team is the best before even getting crowned the best, thats arrogance.

Really?! You call that arrogance?! Really?!

Posted Image

The kid was simply stating a fact and backed it up. It's not arrogant if you back it up: it's called having supreme confidence and being a champion.

My sig below reads "Athletes today are scared to make Muhammad Ali statements". Seth made a statement and backed it up. Only the elite are capable of that, and Seth is one at least at the junior level right now.

As for Kassian, I do not think his actions were arrogant at all. It's his home crowd and he's trying to get the fans back into the game after the Oilers tied it up.

Was at the game and I loved it, admittetly the crowd was quiet at times and was up till then, and then Kassian did that and got the crowd going.

Love it, keep it up Kass, he had a great game tonight.

I just cant believe my eyes.

What the hell is wrong with you.

Lets do some back tracking on how we got here.

Ben Eager has had his way with everyone on this team for the past 4 seasons.

Kassian breaks his face and raises his fist to the crowd and yells Lets Go!

You get offended and make a thread.

Am i missing anything?

Yes, you seem to lack the competence to realize that I was merely suggesting that cocky gestures aren't exactly the best things to have from a team that's already taken a lot of flak for 'diving'

I thought that was good. It shows that he actually cares and has some passion in his game. Something that half our players have not shown thus far.

Keep it up Kass.

Right on mate .

This team like its coach lacks passion , i was stoked to see kass try to fire them up.

I was hoping that he might get an assist in overtime for a gordy howe hat trick.

He tried to fire up his team and the crowd. They just scored and had the momentum, Kassian tried to change that.

Plus, he just bloodied Eager, someone the Canucks were never able to stand up to after Hordi and Rypien left.

Really? Were you by any chance in attendance at the game wearing a suit and texting on your blackberry at the time? The crowd needed to loosen up.

He was trying to get the crowd back into the game. He was essentially saying "come on, make some noise".

I'm not the biggest Kassian fan but he played really well at times tonight.

Sorry Seth, but the idea of being meek about beating down an ass like Eager is old news now in Canuckland. Kassian engaged the crowd. What the $%@* is wrong with that? He showed emotion. That's what was needed

Don't blame Kassian if the Canucks have one of the quietest crowds in the league. At least he's trying to get something going.

Exactly. Athletes compete. They shouldn't be afraid to make statements like that, as long as they can back it up. If they don't they know they're in for a lifetime of humiliation.

I don't see anything wrong with what Kassian did. He wasn't bragging about the fight or anything, he was just trying to get the crowd pumped/back into the game.

Finally some genuine ferocity shown by a Canuck player, and a thread like this pops up?

Actually, I knew some pu**y would come on here and complain about Kassian getting hype after that fight. Such a joke.

Kassian finally shows that he's becoming the player that we all hope he becomes, and someone still finds something to complain about.

Canucks fans deserve all the hate they get from around the league. Bunch of whiners.

While I liked the reaction and passion, I worry how AV will react to it. Don't be shocked to see him getting line 4 minutes at best next game.
