Oregon Canucky
There is a pretty bad storm rolling into the North East... Hurricane Sandy Rocked NY and NJ during the lockout... Has weather canceled any games that you know of in the history of your fandom?

Rey
Postpone and re-schedule if necessary. That is all.
Shift-4
Do they just move the date? Would a team be allowed to play their "home games" somewhere else to save their season?

Rey
In 2010, a Carolina/Florida post season game was cancelled, but it's post season so it wasn't re-scheduled. http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=538900 Jiri Fischer's situation probably relates the best. http://www.legendsof...18#.URVSXaU0WSo Following a year in the Czech League, Fischer returned to the NHL where on November 1st, 2005 in a home game against the Nashville Predators he suffered a heart seizure and collapsed on the Red Wing bench. Although Fischer was unconscious for six minutes, he was resuscitated by CPR and defibrillator before being taken to a Detroit hospital. The remainder of the game that night was cancelled, and made up in Janaury of 2006
Spoosh
They have moved a few games over the years[1]. More than once or twice[2]. Can't remember witch one tho...[3]Colorado was one of them. Doubt they ever completely cancelled a matchup?[4][5][6] ^ a b c "Spooshy denying excact knowledge of cancellation". February 08, 2013. Retrieved February 08, 2013. Shift-4
If my memory is correct they did move the date and I think Anh was the opponent. (that's what my fighting of the flu memory tells me )
goalie13
Not totally weather related, but game 4 of the 1988 Stanley Cup finals game between the Oilers and the Bruins was called off part way through the game. There was fog in the arena and you could hardly see what was going on, then the power went out. The game was tied 3-3 in the second period. They called the rest of the game off and went on with the series. The Oilers completed the sweep the next game, back in Edmonton. So they essentially swept the 4 game series in 5 games. Oregon Canucky
If an arena was completly destroyed by an act of nature, I wonder if a seperate arena would house a team so that they could finish their season? ive also heard of teams playing tons of away games during arena renovations. What a pain!

Oregon Canucky
If there was an act of nature big enough to demolish a stadium I think the city would have bigger issues than rebuilding a stadium or finding a place for the Canucks to play.
