Long ago, when McLean was still on the Canucks, I went on a tour of the locker room as part of Canucks Family Day. The equipment guy running the tour said that some goalies go through a couple of sets of pads each season.

They probably change pads more often than we ever know about and it's no big deal to them.

Not every question needs to be of earthshaking importance and who cares as long as the question is understandable?

He should get 3D pads that look cool if I wear my 3D glasses.

Also should wear a cape and put a spoiler on his net.

I was wondering the same thing at the start of the Nucks vs. Blues game. Either way, I think they look pretty nice. For some reason, white pads look better to me than most coloured ones. They look bigger, too.

His old pads were old.

His old pads were the Vaughn V5 7800s, which were introduced about a year ago.

His new pads are the Vaughn V5 Vintages, which were introduced around the same time.
