Clowe would've fit nicely here.

Im hoping we grab Raffi or Ott.

I would rather have Ott and think Ott would cost a lot more. Raffi, I think you could get for a 3rd or a 4th.

Maybe the Capitals panic after tonights game and make a deal with us. They have some size that we could use in a Luongo deal.

Torres for the 3rd or 4th line. Gillis was dumb not to resign him. He's a beast and forechecks hard..

With that many options, MG should be fired for not making a decent trade.

We don't need any more size, we need a player who can score. Kesler is coming back, Sestito is ???? massive, and the Canucks are generally not physical anyway. We need a SCORER. A mix between Raymond and Hansen, if you will.

Well put. I can still see the addition of a defense man. I don't think Gillis is too thrilled with what he's seen from the defense of late..

I'd love to get Ott. A pest with pretty good faceoff abilities and he gives the kind of grit that we need in the playoffs. I just saw him rip a shot top shelf on Vokoun. I think Gillis was trying to get him last year. We could use another centre. You can never have too much depth in the playoffs.

We have Jim Vandermeer in the minors waiting for the playoff roster so he can be called up. He'll ad some grit and depth at the position.

Honestly, this is just a dream more than anything but with buffalo having a fire sale, it would be nice to get the hoff back.

Would you trade Ballard and a 3rd for him? The only problem is next years cap. You'd almost have to trade Edler for a prospect.

Exactly, that's the thing
it would never happen but IMO he is the most missed lost asset

He had great chemistry with the Sedins and the team in general

His cap hit isn't horrible, it's long, but not horrible.

I wanted Clowe but Ott makes alot of sense, seeing as ryan Kesler is unlucky, be advised to get Roy some back up, can never be too deep at Center and LaPierre hasnt sold me yet this year

loved him jumping on the bench there and swinging , can he play at all ?

Vandermeer-Ott-Kassian could be a good time

He's a defenceman but I think he can play up front too. He's nothing special but is a give it your all type of guy. The good thing about Ott is he is signed next year for only $2.9k.

Bryan Boyle is having a similarly bad season.
Good faceoff guy, hits alot, big shutdown presence - would take him, being a depth C, over Clowe.
Snatch him while the Rangers woo over Clowe.

He'd be great for the 4th line. Can he kill penalties? I guess he's similar to Konopka?

Yeah, he's a penalty killer. Normally wouldn't expect NYR to consider moving him, but not a good year.
Just a wish really - probably not as realistic as some other options.
Would be happy with Boyd Gordon though - not a big guy, but a very good depth shutdown center.

Lucic, Stewart, Bertuzzi and Kassian (Bert and Kass to a lesser extent) are the only players in the league that are similar to Clowe.

I'd like that Benn guy from Dallas as well...

People need to temper expectations with this pominville talk.

We ready to give up a 1st and someone like jensen, tanev, gaunce, corrado?

He is not a ufa right away like clowe or roy, and he is one of buffalos top players, asking price will be steep.
