Dear Vancouver,
Where is the drive we saw two years ago? It's like the 2011 Finals took away your heart, your edge, your will to win.

It wasn't even just the one goal scored, it was the lack of offensive chances. Higgins-Kesler-Roy would be nice for a 2nd line, or Raymond- Kesler- Kassian/Burrows
Higgins- Roy- Hansen

People need to give their head a shake blaming LU. It could have been 10-0 without him.

He played lights out the first period but its those goals when were down by one and I somehow knew luongo was going to let one through in the last 10 minutes. Not saying this loss is due to him but his history with these kind of things is what ticks people off. If he saved that last goal by Marleau even though he had no chance against, this game could be in overtime right now.

I don't really care anymore,

I mean I want them to win, but if the team doesn't care then there is no point in me caring either.

This, my soccer team just destroyed Barca today in UCL so at least I'll enjoy some soccer and watch a team that wants to win.

Canucks are garbage. They won't be able to come up with enough 60 minute efforts to get past the 2nd round

guys both these teams were useless with edge going to sharks for playing a solid road game we didnt take advantage of home ice energy. We better game 2... Better wake up.. sorely missing the plays erhoff and salo made with ease to setup our snipers.

We have snipers?

Why couldn't we trade for Torres MG?! And instead we have Ebbett on the team :sadno:

If MG have done that, he would look stupid to lose a draft pick on a player who he could have re-signed a year ago.

Canucks have scored 13 goals in the last 19 playoff games.

Nobody can argue with that.

This core will never get back to the cup. Period.

Gillis sucks

If Torres Sammuellson, Salo, and Mitchell were all kept for 2 mill a year instead of Ballard and Booth our team would look like this right now.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Higgins Roy Sammuellson
Hansen Kesler Torres
Sestito Lapierre Kassian

Hamhuis Bieksa
Edler Garrison
Mitchell Salo
Corrado Tanev

WAY BETTER THAN RAYMOND

Lines = NO CHEMISTRY

You know what lines DID have chemistry?:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Higgins-Roy-Kesler
Raymond-Lapierre-Hansen
Sestito-Lapierre-Weise

KEEP THE LINES THAT WIN US GAMES!

Thanks, cheers, Canucks in6

Agree 100%. Can you be the coach please!!

A lot of us AV haters have disagreed with his line choices.
Tonight was the prime example. After the trade deadline, Roy was flying with Higgins and WTF? break up the line right before playoffs?
Why?
So you can balance 4 lines of crap?
Load up your top 2 dumbass, Then use the 3rd as an additional scoring line and 4th as energy/checking line.

Sedin Sedin Burrows/Kassian (Although its too late to try Kassian because had you been smart, you would have done this regular season to build chemistry but now all you have done is put him in a position to fail)
Higgins Roy Kesler
Raymond Shroeder Hansen/Kassian (if you want the 4th to be more of a checking role, move Hansen to 4th line)
Weise Lappiere Kassian/Hansen (Use Kassian if you want to crash and bang but if you want to shut down, use Hansen.

So effing simple.

Damn AV, for an NHL coach, you are pretty dumb.
Way to try Higgins Roy Kesler with 3 min left behind by 2 goals. lol

This is why I don't buy Canucks tickets anymore. Why on earth would I spend $500to go to a game when I'm this angry just by watching a free game on TV?

Finally he admits it. I'm really glad it wasn't another "We played well" nights

Kesler: I felt good enough to play

Kesler: I took the option to take the morning skate off because I thought that was the best way to have the most energy tonight

There's your answer. Clearly he is injured again. It showed.

Luongo and Hansen were our best players tonight. Offence looked completely out of order, no chances generated, and a costly penalty...

I cannot STAND AV

I said before the game after he decided to try brand new lines for the playoffs that we are risking creating zero offence by trying guys with zero chemistry.
Guess what?

Splitting Higgins and Roy was stupid.

Although wee might have been better defensively (VERY debatable), AV managed to find a way to shut down his own offence.

TOTALLY AGREE........

and i hate how he didn't take the last 5 games of the regular season to actually try out these lines.....

so much for resting ur core players on the last game.....they look like they went on vacation and never came back!

the fact that this team did not bring any intensity on the FIRST game of PLAYOFFS....is pathetic....its the first game....u should be coming out in full force.....

i just had a bad feeling about this game from puck drop...couldn't mentally get into the game at alll....

PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG BOYS........BRING IT!!! DON'T JUST TALK THE TALK......TAKE ACTION

It's time to dismantle this team and start the rebuild. The Sedins are once again no shows once the playoffs start. The coach, Vinny never has been a good playoff coach. Why wait, start the process this summer and get some players in there who want to play at the NHL level.

Not a Lu fanboy, but he wasn't the reason the Canucks lost. IMHO, top two lines MIA seemed to have something to do with it.

Classical Luongo meltdown in the third -_-
Also you can tell the refs are already against us <_<

EDIT: By meltdown I mean the couple of softies let in that deflated our momentum

We didn't exactly have momentum when the Sharks scored their goals.

Loungo was not solid in the 3rd period sorry but one of those two goals need to be saved especially after the saves he made prior this is what drives me nuts is his inconsistency

like which one? the one he was pinned down by 4 players or the one that made a split deflection off hamhuis when lui was in position to make the save had that not happened?

of the 3, I will say the 1st goal on PP he could have saved, but even that was a great shot with screen.

the only part of his game today that wasnt good was his puck passing. he didnt make good passes and that led to one of the goals.

This team sucks.

Rarely do they put together a 60 minute effort and they sure as hell failed to do that tonight. Anyone that blames Luongo is an idiot. And someone has a problem with that then come at me.

We played a bad 3rd.

Technically Luo did meltdown cause the entire team did in which he is a part of.

Everyone could have had a better 3rd

If we are out first round again this year, we honestly need to start rebuilding. I don't want to be put into a situation like Calgary, we keep getting worse every season and I honestly don't want to fall into a pit, just onto the rebuild early.

It wasnt that bad a game. Make some roster adjustments and move on. San Jose is a very deep team. Keep the top line and stick to proven line chemistry. Schroeder, Hansen and Raymond. Kesler, Higgins, Roy. Throw in more 4th line toughness and keep the D how it was. A few bounces the other way and we'd have won tonight.
