Think man but be careful what you wish for because firing Gillis is not going to help this team at this time. To much knee jerk here. Gillis got them to the SCF. This is not his fault. They do not have a leader out there right now that is willing to to step up and take charge. They miss Burrows. They miss his presence and they miss his grit. Come on, the argument Gillis had nothing to do with our success to the finals doesn't even hold air and you know it. "Nah we need to get bigger. Now it is fast and big" -what does that mean? You are contradicting your self there. I agree a trade would be a good thing but who is out there? Let's not pretend and try to fool ourselves a block buster trade is going to help this team or is even out there to be had. Y You need to give away a lot more to get that premiere player and who do you have left to play with that fabulous player? How easily critic love to forget. I recall Gillis signing Mats Sundin. Look how many were critical of him for doing that and that was simply a money issue. How critical will the horde be of Gillis if he trades away the future of the team in younger players/good prospects and or draft picks. One simply has to read the garbage suggestions being proposed in these forums to realize how foolish some can be. How long will it take to reestablish what we now have before becoming an elite team once again. Liken it to spending all your pay check to buy a fabulous truck yet in doing so you can't buy food to eat or pay to have the hole in the ass of your pants mended. People here need to be more realistic before shouting out useless hair brained ideas. Be careful what you ask for or demand. The result may be worse than ever. Hamhuis is a very good hockey player. The team just has no confidence, has had no luck, and they are down and lower than anyone can imagine. IMVHO this team is far better than what they are displaying. They need to get their heads straight and get back to the basics. That may mean Torts must change his tactics as well.
