  1. Can someone who studies at BCIT tell me the difference between an associate's certificate and a certificate? Which one would be better for me if I were to pursue a masters degree?

Wouldn't you need a "Bachelor's degree" first before going for the Masters degree?  I'm assuming a "certificate" is one step down from a "Bachelor's"....but that's just a guess.

I've been a BCIT instructor at various times. It depends on the type of Masters you're looking at. E.g, if you are looking at one like at Royal Roads where they take work experience in to account you may not need it depending on your background. If you're looking for one that is more classic that requires a 4 year degree you'd be looking at taking the B.Tech. from BCIT e.g.

Cert's are typically more for job advancement where you want to get a qualification or more experience in a certain area and not really for going on to a masters.

Find out what the masters program you like requires and work backwards from there.
