  1. We rank pretty damn well in quality firsts I’d say. Benning’s mandate was to rebuild. Benning rebuilt this team. Benning, is a rebuilder. Boeser Pettersson 1D Hughes Podkolzin is going to be a beast 1st for Miller who leads the team Five working 1st rounders out of 7. That’s an excellent success ratio. Add a 1G who has a few wizard cards to throw at the opposition giving them PTSD.. Add other picks who have turned out like Höglander… I think we’re in great shape.
  2. Boys just wanna be on the ice. Lettem’
  3. It’s as if some people are allergic to high halent. TRADE NOW THAT THEY’RE WORTH SOMETHING! Eriksonitis.
  4. VAN Ovechkin WSH Miller Sign Malkin. PODKOLZIN - MALKIN - OVECHKIN GARLAND - HORVAT - PETTERSSON
  5. Moving Miller and moving Garland just isn’t the same conversation. Miller is to Horvat as Garland is to Höglander. Dickinson and Poolman yeah. And I’m usually for a Pearson trade. But Pearson is defensive money extremely well spent.
  6. Alf. I’m getting upset with you. What happened to you? You became this non-croyant all of a sudden. What is it? What’s going on? Is it a personal thing? It can’t just be that your team didn’t make the playoffs… You used to see clearly and have some very good opinions. But it seems as if you are calling for a perpetual rebuild. You see, you get rid of the Millers for “later success”… who do you think will be too old by then by your metrics? Pettersson, Demko and Hughes. So we’ll trade them in 4 years because they’re too old for that magical window that doesn’t exist?
  7. Barring some serious injury problems, which I do not foresee since Tanev and Edler are gone, this team as is makes the playoffs with ease. In no way is there a country club laissez-faire mentality under Boudreau. Such a player would ride pine until splinters puts him on IR.
  8. Yes. But they are more likely to be part of next year’s team than not. That’s the nature of the business.
  9. .638 winning percentage with Boudreau. It’s very good indeed.
  10. Objectivity vs Subjectivity… that’s all. Sorry Deb. Just thought you’d know the difference.
  11. Saying the core (untouchables) are Pettersson, Hughes and Demko doesn’t mean JR is reading everyone else… It means Pettersson, Hughes and Demko are untouchable. That’s it.
  12. So basically, if you’re 18, you’re part of the future of this assuredly great team. But if you’re 19, you’re an old man with no hope so why are you still playing the game because you’re already halfway in the ground. Sh!t makes no sense at all. 32 year old Stamkos says hi. 31 year old Palat says hi. 32 year old Killorn says hi. 34 year old Maroon says hi. 31 year old Herman says hi. 33 year old McDonagh says hi. 31 year old Bogosian says hi. 35 year old Helm says hi. 35 year old Jack Johnson says hi. 30 year old Manson says hi. 34 year old Eric Johnson says hi. 32 year old Kuemper says hi.
  13. It puts us in the playoffs. You can’t assess your playoff team by not making the playoffs. You need to make the playoffs for that assessment. The idea of overhauling the team to suddenly become the next Colorado, Carolina, Florida is a complete farce and severely lacks foresight and a minimum of understanding of the game. By the time the Canucks are the next Colorado, Tampa Bay type team, Colorado and Tampa Bay won’t be those types of teams anymore. They are who they are not by formula, but by years of savvy management, and let’s not forget, years of other teams’ complete mismanagement. So by the time the Canucks will be that good, they will be the next Canucks and other teams will be looking to emulate us, like when Boston won the Cup, like when L.A. won the Cup, like when Washington won the Cup; I don’t hear anyone trying to emulate the Capitals right now. But trying to emulate Tampa Bay and Colorado, why of course; they’re playing in the Cup final. Should Washington have traded Ovechkin before they won the Cup and they were a pretty bad team barely making the playoffs? (You will ask, am I comparing Miller to Ovechkin? NOOOOO. But he is indeed our best player for the next 3-4 years hands down). Extremely shortsighted.
  14. Are you… un….. satisfied with your team? Theres this team that’s pretty good you may wanna follow… the hell are they called again… Tam… Color….. don’t remember…
  15. Our prospects are playing in the NHL.
  16. Then say no to trading Miller. Because that’s our best player and one of the best in the game. That’s the biggest step back the Canucks could take outside of trading Demko.
  17. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  18. Sorry are you referring to Kypreos for the “country club atmosphere”? Really? Now it’s a legit thing? Or is this “they didn’t make the playoffs therefore it must be a country club atmosphere”? A country club team winning at a .638 pace under Boudreau. I am fully expecting this team to make the playoffs. All they have to do for that, is to trim some fat around the edges and get a couple more pieces. Should it stay as is, they’re still making the playoffs.
  19. Ok let me guess. In 2027, the Canucks will have $84,500,000 in cap space with zero players signed. …and you’re gonna tell me that’s not enough. Got it.
