Gillis is going nowhere period. He is a good GM and maybe the best we have ever had(I have been a fan from day 1). There is a lot of talk about bad trades Gilles has made....what bad trades? Every trade has posters defending and bashing meaning they were realistic trades. Some worked better than others....so what's new with trades. Look at the cap space we have next year...look at the prospects and the depth we have....look at the fact we now have an AHL team...look at the number of prospects we have in the junior playoffs....look at the players we can move for picks or prospects because of the depth we have. Yes...like every team in the league we could use better high end players but for the first time ever we are in a position to take the time and develop our own. Thank you Mike Gillis.

Who will be the new OC? Harris and Logan signed. Canucks are done....time for real football.

Mike Gilles is sleeping like a baby tonight. Mike is going nowhere for a while.

We no longer need a winger for Kesler...we need a replacement. At the very least a replacement that can spell off some of the minutes. Horvat maybe? Maybe give Kess more days off? Give all the lines minutes. Share the work load. Bottom line stay healthy. Work the players hard off the ice and give them minutes but use your subs and youngsters to fill in and give players more days off to heal and rest. Then we can say we have depth.

LOL|....if you think Gillis is the worst.You have not watched any other team in the league. For sure not the AHLberta teams or the Maple Chuckles or the Islanders not to mention others. Gillis may not be the best but he is in the top 15 of the league. I think more realistically Gilles is top 10

Gillis has done a good job.The cdc thinks he should be able to turn the ship around on a dime but a juggernaut takes time to turn around. It is not Mike's fault the the NHL was full of crap when they said the league was going to a new wide open game without hooking,holding and interference and then changed the rules in the 2011 playoffs.Once they did they had to stay the course since. Mike has been slowly turning around the titanic before it hits the iceberg that the NHL has placed in the waters. I beleive that if ownership and last but not least the fans,stay the course and are patient with the turn around they will be rewarded for such.

Why in the world would the players give a sheet about making the playoffs after how they have been treated by the league. Think about it....PP 24 -10 last playoffs....Hansen,Rome,Edler phony suspensions.Marchand punching Sedin and Sedin gets a powerplay for taking it.The Canucks try to stand up for the selves and lo and behold....7 min powerplay against them.Burrows the most penalized player in the league when you take out fighting penalties last season.This year about the same when he is in the line-up.Torts raises kane and poof....gone for six games.They saw who was reffing tonight and knew before they stepped on the ice that they were toast....i could see it in their faces.Daniel Sedin ran from behind and injured....no penalty....Kassian hits a Star the the same...between the numbers...no injury...out for the game and 5 min major. Why would you even try....just go out collect your paycheque...feed your family...try to stay healthy.

Lou was the best goalie we had for a long time....lets face it...he had an easy act to follow...however he was beat out by not one ....but two back ups. Gilles still is by far the best GM we have ever had.
