  1. Uh yeah...scoring 8 goals in 5 games was "unlucky"...Sometimes things sound right in your head but it's always best to take off your fanboy glasses before you throw out statements and proclaim them as facts.
  2. Well you're definitely living up to the "moron" classification...the %5 I gave is RIGHT NOW...TODAY...not IF the Canucks win 9 of their last 10...its not just some # I made up...I never said anything about tanking or anything like that, that's all in your warped, fanboy mind...you can cheer the last 10 games all you want...but like I said before ACTUAL percentages don't lie, when you add a HUGE IF then the percentages can make little boys like you cheer until the Canucks are mathematically eliminated...your sad little brain just hasn't processed it yet...sometime around the Ranger game on April Fools Day will be when a total fool like you can finally put your playoff fantasy to bed...
  3. Hey...believe all you want...but to call the people who are looking at this from a VERY realistic standpoint "morons" is ridiculous. The percentages don't lie, no matter how much fanboys like you "believe"...realistically only a MORON would put his hopes on something that has less than a 5% chance of happening, but looking at your nickname and avatar it all makes sense...
  4. The Canucks don't play any of those 3 teams in the last 10 games. How can you honestly call yourself a Canuck fan if you can't even keep track of their last 10 games of the season..?
  5. St. Louis has one more year left on his contract with the Rangers and O'Reilly will be an RFA...
  6. And after tonight's meltdown he's 11th in GAA and 18th in SV%...
  7. Wow you don't even know your own team. Henrik was 29 the season he won the Art Ross and Hart, Daniel was 30 the year he won the Art Ross and Lindsay. Here is the "core" of the Canucks and their ages...please tell me how "most of the crew" are 2-3 years younger than 31-32. Sedins 33 Burrows 32 (33 in less than a month) Bieksa 32 (33 in June) Hamhuis 31 Higgins 31 (32 in June) Kesler 29 Garrison 29 Edler 27 The funniest part is that the 3 youngest members of the "core"-Kesler, Garrison and Edler- are the 3 that seem to come up when most fans want players traded lately.
  8. The only UFA's that come to the Canucks are BC born D-men that want to come home...
  9. God it must be painful being you...I picture you in a darkened room...FOX News on the TV with the sound turned way up and you on the computer hour after hour going through any and all hockey forums, boards, blogs etc and working yourself up into this complete and utter paranoid fantasy that you are now living under...my guess is this started just before midnight on June 15th, 2011...
  10. $3m in cap space?? Luongo's cap hit was $5.33m Matthias $1.75m Markstrom $1.2m Retained Luongo cap hit $800k That leaves approx. $1.5m in cap space. Just enough for Gillis to sign a 3rd-4th liner that Torts will play 4 mins a game.
  11. There is still lots of potential for Markstrom, no doubt about that...but he has hardly "dominated the AHL" 124 GP 61-58-7 .918 SV% 2.62 GAA 7 SO's Those are solid AHL goalie #'s but for comparison lets look at Cory Schneider's AHL #'s 136 GP 84-45-5 .921 SV% 2.27 GA 12 SO's
  12. 47 goals and 112 pts combined for those 4 this season so far...you and I have a very different definition of "strong"...
  13. I think he may as well. My only concern is that he will be a UFA after next season so I can see 3 scenarios playing out: He has a "bad" season next year, doesn't help the Canucks at all and they let him walk as a UFA (Worst case) He has a "normal" season (12g, 18a) which likely won't really help the Canucks a lot. They offer him similar $$ to what he is making now. (Likely case) He has a "breakout" season (25g, 30a), helps the Canucks at least contend for the playoffs. At which point he may opt to test the UFA market or the Canucks will have to up the ante on an extension. (Possible). Either way I still like him better than Kassian. Hahahahaha.
  14. Sure...the first point you mentioned was "still manages to have a good team"...have you watched the team for the last 2 playoffs and this season..?...not a good team...sorry.....the second point you mentioned was "Stanley Cup contender for many years"...sorry but when is ONE considered many..?...See how you were wrong on those 2 points..?...
  15. So all the Canucks need is: The Kesler trade to go perfectly Lack to continue to put up Luongo-like #'s or better The Sedins to return to their previous PPG+ production and Burrows (maybe a few others) to bounce back 3 or 4 rookies all under 22 to make the team and contribute Sign 3 of the top UFA's available Let me guess...your favourite movie of all time is "The Perfect Storm"...
  16. 69 NHL appearances between all 3...gonna put you in the "insanely optimistic" category...
  17. The 3 goalies in the organization (Lack, Markstrom & Ericsson) have a combined 68 appearances in the NHL. Going to be a bumpy rebuild...
  18. Johansen and Dubinsky are the Jackets 1C-2C, they are 1-2 in scoring on the team and 1-2 in TOI among forwards on the team. Even if Kesler takes over the 1C position who does CBJ use as their 2C..? Kesler is good but I can't see this trade improving the Jackets at all and honestly probably hurts them in the interim, and thats without the 1st rounder. You really need to look at what the other team is getting and not just what the Canucks can reap from a proposed trade.
  19. If the Canucks season hinged on injuries to a journeyman 3rd-4th line forward and a waiver wire pick up depth d-man then this team was doomed from game 1 this season. Just sayin'...
  20. Ummm...yeah...don't speak for the rest of us because honestly if you think the Canucks have done well the last 2+ seasons then clearly you're the one having the "spaz"...( oh and what is this 1985 and are you in grade 7? who the hell uses "spaz" in the last 25 years?)
  21. Except for the 20+mins a game, literally everything you mentioned is the 26 year old Ryan Kesler from '10-'11. You can't get the same value for Kesler now that you could have gotten for him after that season. If you honestly think Gillis would get more than a 1st, and a couple of young players/prospects then your Kesler-coloured glasses have blinded you. But, by all means, tell us what you think Gillis could get for Kesler if he decides to deal him at the TDL.
  22. The Isles don't have a 1st round pick this draft, they sent it to Buffalo in the Vanek trade. Also with Niedereitter being a bit of a bust and traded this past offseason I don't think Snow is too eager to part with the best 2 prospects the organization has. If Gillis is really willing to package those 3 players, I'm sure other teams would offer a nice package coming back though.
