Add in Quinn Hughes + Marky for Hall
Thats njd ask
I figured, if anything involving QH, it is a no go. QH, EP, Bo, Brock and Demko are untouchables.

Just curious, not saying we should do it and don't think it will ever happen. But would you do: Markstrom straight up for Taylor Hall. Both are UFAs next summer, the Canucks can use one more elite top 6 forward to become the real dominant force and New Jersey needs a guy who can stop the puck.

I don’t care about NHL power rankings of where they rank the Canucks. I look at stats and underlining numbers myself and determine whether or not this is a good team or if they are playing well.
In fact, I hope the Canucks fly under the radar and not garner much attention.

As of Oct. 30th, 2019, here is where the Canucks at in the league:
Standing/Total Points: 7th OA, 17 PTS
Points %: 7th OA, 0.708% (17 PTS out of possible 24 PTS)
GF/P: 4th OA, 3.75
GA/P: 4th OA, 2.42
Powerplay %: 5th OA, 25.5%
Penalty Kill %: 4th OA, 86.6%
FO %: 2nd OA, 55.8%
Very impressive stats. Although OA standing is at 7th in the league, but they are top 5 in each key category and I hope they keep it up! At least for the first 12 games, the team is winning games and they aren't flukey wins.

JT Mille now has more goals than Connor McDavid
Edit: nope, it’s a Boeser hat-trick, thank you for kicking the puck into his own net by no other than Drew Doughty himself.

This team looks dangerous and elite. Yes I know we have had pretty good octobers even in our crap years but this team looks so confident and technically sound. We aren't winning cause of luck that's for sure.
We can hang with the best of them and we are constructed for the new NHL.
So happy
What is really impress is that our best players are still very young, they still have some un-tap potentials, this is shaping up to be a core made of up really elite group of guys that would make hockey really fun to watch.

I really want to see Ferland and Roussell on the same line. That may be hectic.
It will come, hopefully soon. I have a feeling a line of Ferland and Roussell have the potential of a fan favourite hero playoff line.

Time to send some big forward on a Chris-Kreider-on-Price kind of move on Jonathan Quick.

The thing that is different from Pettersson and the Sedins is what we just seen. He would not let anyone mess around with him. I wish when the Sedins were playing, they would do something like what EP did to Martinez from time to time. They took a lot of abuses throughout their career.

Rookie of the Month for October?
There is another rookie Dman name Cale Makar. It will be an interesting race between the 2 of them this season. So far, they are leading the Calder race this season.

Hughes racking up his points against the Kings. 1st career point (assist) was against the Kings, 1st career goal against the Kings and now a couple of assists already. This brings him to 5 points in 3 games agains the Kings and this one isn’t over, lets him filling the Kings net with goals boys!

I hope the boys use the “a team like that” comment as a motivational rally point, and go out to dominate tonight’s game and give them no mercy.

Last season Petey wanted to pass more. His linemates then weren't burying his solid set ups, so he took it upon himself to shoot more (which he said in an interview last season). This year he's got linemates that can finish, which is beneficial because the opposition is checking him more tightly, so finding his linemates in more open ice is deadly. Soon defenders are going to have to respect his pass and give him more space which opens up his shot again.
You couldn’t have said it better. Last year, it was frustrating to watch EP pass the puck to Del Zotto, Pouliot etc. and they would do nothing with it. Specifically remember in one of the earlier games, EP made a perfect pass to MDZ to set him up at a prime scoring area for him to shoot at and he would bobble the puck and led to a turnover and the other team got a scoring chance by rushing the puck the other way. It is just too many of those instances that made me mad as I really wanted EP to rack up the points to win the Calder.

Just an awkward turn as he was back skating. Couldn’t really tell much from the angles. I just hope he is fine and he can be back for the game.
